  1. Ebay would get to more people out of the US.
  2. A 4-H Pig call winner, all the way from Nova Scotia! That's damn good Jim.
  3. I think $40's a little high for a '73 but you never know with overseas buyers. I'm hoping you get $40 plus. 8^)
  4. Got the master cylinder swapped over. Now I can move it out for a wash, tomorrow we ride.
  5. 100%! I made a temporary email for the 240 I recently sold. I went to pay the cable/internet bill afterwords and had 42 emails from resort rental web site. It is now nonexistent.
  6. Anybody know the sealer between the master cylinder and it's backing plate? Cleaning the backing plate I see it had some sort of sealer where it slides up to the M/C, silicone I think, it was still rubbery when I scraped it off. Just some type RTV? I have a tube of the black oil resistant. Thanks Another question. Would some white lithium grease be okay on the plunger out of the booster into the M/C? Like I use on the door hinges?
  7. This turned out to be easy so far. The tubes in their bench bleed kit aren't made for bottom ports, too short. I've got a syringe and will just do it backwards. Thanks for that tip, somebody? Chris @grannyknot you were right, I needed a new one. Thanks for that suggestion.
  8. I think I'll try this tonight. I can't remember doing one before but that doesn't mean much, memory...bad, very bad. Put rags everywhere then take the old one off and clean up the booster. Bench bleed the new one then put the plugs back in the bottom ports Bolt it onto the booster Connect the brake lines Bleed all the old fluid out Thanks for helpful advice. Cliff
  9. There it is! @idgemartin
  10. I'm looking with a phone but it looks like the hose is missing or unplugged. I was told to plug mine when I deleted the egr and bpt valves. It has a nut on the bottom you can turn for adjustment. Try half a turn one way and drive it. If it helps keep going that way, if it makes it worse go back the other way. Google "280z bcdd adjustment" and click "images". You'll see the fsm's directions.
  11. I'd hate to wizz those guys off, never to be seen again. That is cool! It really does set back sandblasting, has to be cheaper overall.
  12. I read that too quick I guess, I thought he was saying the car ran without the ECU. Sorry
  13. Thanks Guy! It's a fairly low cost head turner and that's the fun for me. Kids jaw drop, they've never seen one and it's sorta loud but a "snappy" loud. I like it.
  14. They never mentioned the deposit, 8 and 1/2 years and the rent stayed the same. I am going to make it a little nicer this time, new counter tops, tile the bathroom floor and charge more per month. It's a neat little house in a good central location.
  15. Your car runs and drives without the ECU? Amazing!
  16. MSA's headers attach to stock with an adapter and they are nice headers, made specifically for our cars. http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/CTGY/classic19
  17. Here's some info on the 15's from Discount Tire, the ones I have and very much like them. These are $296 with the discounts available. Another option? http://www.discounttiredirect.com/direct/findWheelDetail.do?bp=4-114.30&fl=&pc=45470&counter=1&wd=15&rw=7
  18. These look like mine although I do not have these, mine are from 1972. The ones from MSA have a block cut out around "240Z". Mine have stuck on for a long time with very little peeling, mainly (I think) from being washed too hard down the door to the top strip. If you are getting a respray with clear coat maybe they could spray over the decals? I don't know how that would work though, the clear could attack the vinyl decal? I think a phone call would be helpful. I am happy with mine for what I've spent. It's not restored but modified, so an "unresto-mod". http://stripegarage.com/collections/datsun-240z-260z-280z/products/datsun-240-z-triple-stripe-vinyl-decal?variant=14729170374
  19. My lesson learned on this darkroom equipment, the future lease on my rental will be "no smokers, pets, or photographers" I've been spackling nail holes all day today and still have more to do in the morning. It looks like they shot each wall with #4 duck pellets. Selling that stuff won't touch my time and material involved.
  20. It's like a kid in a candy shop! I'll remember Memphis ZCON until I get Alzheimer's.
  21. You're giving me chill bumps! My Dad's favorite words, "do you see what you are costing me?" But I truly think he liked saying that to his buddies, " oh that boy of mine is gonna put me in the poor house one of these days" Did you see that link in Mr Purcell's thread on where to buy the real deal rocker stripes, $35? I can post it when I'm home with my laptop if you need it. Your build thread was going strong when I first started reading CZC so you cost me some money too! I was perfectly happy with my '77. After reading and seeing those amazing pictures of your 240 I ended up with 3 Zs. Now I've whittled it down to two, 1 280Z & one 240Z. Payback time.
  22. I really like those wheels. They first had 16" only if I remember right and I bought my graphite ones around 6 months prior to their Z mail announcing them. I'd like to get some 15" and black satin 240 bumpers from futofab for my '77. Maybe this summer when the grass is greener?
  23. Was it a new or reground cam? What were the clearances on the cam card, what did you adjust them to? is it an internal oiler cam or do you have a spray bar? Have you seen oil hitting those black lobes? You can take the cover off, pull the plugs and spin the motor over to see if it's oiling properly. Which oil are you running, it may be too thick? A picture of the lobes and rocker wipe pads would be very helpful.
  24. I'll post pictures if it doesn't work.
  25. My PS-20 was specd for the 280zx dizzy I put in my 240, 1.5 from Nissan so I bought the 1.4 ohm. It's been a good runner so far, it's begging for more advance so that's next. Oh yeah the reason I even responded. My Ps-20 has E cores or fins or springs or technology? E-something.
