I think the money's remaking these, I need four when you get there.

240Z fan radiator
Did it run hot before you found the fan clutch failure? Can you replace the fan clutch? I replaced both fan clutches on the two 240s I've had along with a new water pump and thermostat. The needle points straight down, south. 175 fahrenheit. The one I have now has a 280Z radiator and full plastic shroud off a 280ZX. It runs 170 fahrenheit. It's a lot easier to install a 280Z radiator than more electronics like the fans, to me. The only drawback is the 280Z radiator hangs down 2 or 3 inches more.

Rubber Heater Core Firewall Grommet Orientation
This was something I would have had to search for soon, I'm about to replace mine. Thanks for the head start. Here's a 240 I had that was barely touched. Cones are facing the engine bay too.

If you could figure out the volume per length of the hose, you could get 1cm playing with the hose from the bowl to the nozzle?

Engine rough running - at wits end
I'm sorry to just be getting back with you, but like Zed Head says it's the only big hose that I know of on a 280. The one coming out of the tank to the suction side of the pump. On a 240, the Fram G2 works better for me, that hose is smaller.

Me too! You'd be great. I would work for free carrying the "football" in one hand and a presidential sized growler in the other, Not So Secret Service.

sweatys rebuild
I hate the FSM. $50 dollars I spent for one, used one page two times, fluid capacity for the transmission and the differential so I'd know how much to order from amazon.com. Glad you got it though, after 6 tries I'd be throwing beers and taking whatever killed Elvis.

Low miles, original paint 280z
Well Bob, I'm gonna say $9,999 to $39,999, final bid.

Valve cover glue 1978 280z
Looks good, really good. That's as nice of an engine bay as I've seen in awhile. Have fun driving that time capsule! When you get a chance try calling your Nissan dealer and see if they can still get these. I bought two about six years ago for about $5 each. Here's two on ebay for $20. They'll save you some headaches down the road. http://www.ebay.com/itm/240Z-260Z-280Z-FUSIBLE-LINK-COVERS-TWO-OEM-GENUINE-NISSAN/332000049036?_trksid=p2385738.c100677.m4598&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20160908110712%26meid%3Dcf3907a4feaa4a6ea6afea83c603bb40%26pid%3D100677%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D7%26sd%3D332000045273

Probably too late but cheap walmart oven cleaner spray foam works great on those, inside and out.

Heater/Vent and Radio Control Panel 1971 240Z
Dumb question but do they go all the way from front to back or just from the backside? I know mine, '72, is different but trying to figure it out.

All-new Z car (code-named Z35) will honor the legendary Datsun
They're already piping in motor sounds through surround sound. Next it'll be exhaust fumes through the air vents. 8^)

Thank you!

Striping - To do or not to do?
Here's a brighter shot of mine, I'm a bit of a show off. 8^) $35 is what Zedy paid for his a few weeks ago. Mine are from 1972's sport package with the spoilers, dealer add on. And the original bumpers with the black rubber. In my signature picture I have the solid chrome bumpers from futofab.com, no rubber.

Somethings wrong...
I agree with Bob, they look good for only 75 miles. Post another picture after 1,000. 8^)

Striping - To do or not to do?
I had a red 240 with white interior and white rocker stripes. Never seen black ones on a red car with black interior. I really like the way mine looks. Have you seen Zedy one's silver with black stripes? It's in a current thread "msa flat black rewinds" I think that's the title?

Are those cameras or side mirrors? Maybe I should read the article.

Rear main seal installation
My seal slipped right on, the trouble was the side seals for me until @Diseazd offered his advice. Thanks again for it to. He said when you get the rear cap started down stop about an inch before the bottom. Push the side seals all the way down then finish tightening the caps bolts. Rear seal and sides are still available from Nissan. If you want the numbers let me know, I have all my receipts in a file. Here they are, crank seal #12279-2B500 $29 sides #12289-WO400 times 2 @$1.50 each

MSA satin black Konig Rewinds are coming.. need tires
I thought maybe it's positioned wherever for the different track layouts, to be easier on the spotter and the announcer? There's no rhyme or reason just looking at individual cars.
