  1. Hi Chris Interesting point; I had assumed if it was needed that you would have sourced one and fitted it. I am in Australia and have a 09/1971 HS30 240-Z Australian market car (originally sold in Tasmania) (dated with the aid of Carl using his USA database as we got different ID plates fitted from the factory here) and it has a no holes lower splash pan fitted and I have no reason to believe that it is not original to the car (granted I am not the original owner). I have seen them fitted on other cars here, but cant think of a series 1 1970 off the top of my head that had one fitted. When time permits I will go through some original literature I have which shows HS30-00004 which was the first reported car into our country and see if I am able to see a splash shield fitted to it in the original road tests/press releases. Edit already...I forgot to add it is an amazing car.
  2. Maybe I need some educating but isnt the lower front splash shield considered "factory correct"? Bill Reagan thought so...

  9. It will be interesting to see how the BaT S30.world/Garage 44 auction goes when it is (eventually) listed. Im guessing the 240-Z has been shipped to the USA to sell rather than be passed in.

  12. Something a bit different from "restored"; its a "survivor". https://qualityclassics.com/cars/1972-datsun-240z-unrestored-survivor-23a/
  13. Just read the BAT ad for the red series 1. It is interesting that they now dont mention the colour change from green to red as was mentioned in the Hagerty Marketplace ad. The only indication is shown in listing photograph 98 of an old invoice dated 1970 something which mentions the colour of the car as green. As zspert mentioned earlier the colour change may be a factor hurting the price of this one.
  14. $35k with 20 bids; passed in.
  15. This is the one I posted several weeks ago advertised on Hagerty Marketplace. Was passed in.
  16. Yeah, Im not convinced myself. This is their latest youtube video featuring the shell. As Alan mentioned above at the end of the day a Datsun with a body made in China isnt a Datsun anymore!
  17. Very much agree but at the end of the day interesting to see.
  18. Came across this via youtube. https://www.carbody.com/product/240z-parts/replacement-complete-car-body-assembly-for-nissan-datsun-240z-260z.html
  19. There are a few things on that fairlady that Im not sure why you would do it such as the black underside. Jay had it listed on ebay USA for a while until it eventually sold to the current owner/dealer.
