Here are a few of the links to threads I've posted about my '71 240z restoration: The car's first club cruise:
  2. Carl was spot on the price guess... Good on ya, Carl !
  3. I would be a bidder, but, just don't have the extra cash right now. Good luck with the sale and it's a shame to see you sell her. Very neat and unique car. Something like this is definitely something I'd love to have in my garage -- especially knowing how you've taken care of her.
  4. How is this NOT 240z related? I have Mikuni's on my baby and I'm sure there are a lot of thers...........
  5. I'll try the trickle charge over the weekend to see if that works.
  6. Hi all, Does anyone know if I can recharge one of the red Optima batteries? I heard that once they are dead... they are dead (ie: cannot be recharged). Is this true? Anyone have experience with these batteries?

Modified your links to embed the video into the post. Nice find! Video isn't that great. Looks like someone played the video on their TV and pointed a webcam at it... haha -- MiKe
  8. Did you post this in our calendar? If you do, it will show up on our main page until June.
  9. This was an interesting reply to the article about the law in CA:

  13. To get the most accurate speed measurement, buy one of those portable GPS units and set it to speed measurement mode. It will give you appropriate speed measurements (mph / kmh) and is very accurate.

  17. If the car is in good condition, I'd say keep the L-series engine. The V8 swap will require some uni-body modification and bracing to handle the added torque. So, if you have matching numbers, you should definitely keep it stock. A good candidate for a V8 is a car without matching numbers, IMHO. m
  18. Bom dia, Carlos! Tudo bom? I'm just starting my studies of Portuguese. But, mine is more of the south-Brazilian style. Welcome to the club! Do you have photos of the car?
  19. You can resize picts pretty easy with Windows XP. Check out this link: http://www.classiczcars.com/modules.php?name=FAQ&op=viewcategory&cid=2 Also check out this thread: http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=25045
  20. Looks pretty rough. You'll have to spend some cash to get it to where you want it. I'd say $500 to $1,000 is fair.
  21. NICE!!! I didn't know they had this available. Looks a little out of place, but, better than just a lap belt. I'd like to find a set of original shoulder belts, but, they are HARD to find.

  23. A $4k bill isn't much when you're talking about all of the items on your list. You could easily spend that much on the paint and bodywork itself. If you plan correctly however, you could make some great improvements if you split it in half.
  24. can you upload these to our gallery? If the images get killed from your links, this thread will be dead...
