pix in my gallery are old. Don't show new stance (among other things)

I used Suspension Techniques springs and KYB struts. I have 15x7's and it looks great. The springs are a little softer than Eibach or Tokico. Benefit is a little smoother ride. Downfall is some rub on rear inner fender, when hitting a decent-sized bump/hump at speed. (very minor, but will raise a passenger's eyebrow!) If I had to do it again, I'd probably go w/ Eibach or Tokico though.

Have any of you added airdams and/or rear spoilers and noticed any improvement in the exhaust fumes? I'm almost finished adding mine, and I'm hoping against hope that there is going to be an appreciable difference. (If so, maybe my wife and daughter will go for a ride; they're actively boycotting the Z because of it. My son, on the other hand, could care less!)

Ben, since the car has a significant amount of rust that you can see, it probably has quite a bit more (that you just haven't found yet). My advice would be: BE PATIENT AND LOOK AROUND A LITTLE MORE. That car's not going anywhere soon. For a Z car that you intend to restore, your better off to find one that is structurally solid, but needs a lot of mechanical/electrical work. On this car, you'll be spending a lot of Euros and time fixing the engine AND the body. You'll be on the road with a sweet ride much sooner, if you find a rust free Z. For what it's worth.

This air dam is in place of the bumpers. I don't have air tools (or patience). Since the bumper will never be re-installed as long as I'm the owner, I'm going to saw or torch. Unless, folks here can convince me it is definitely NOT a good idea. As implied at the start of the thread, any real enthusiast is going to be looking at 240's and not 280's. Therefore, this car would probably never be a candidate for a frame off restoration. How much damage could I do to the value anyway:ermm:

Were you in my garage this morning trying to start my 77? Have you been driving mine? I was preparing to post the EXACT symptons. Do your lights, guages respond to revs? Mine DID, before its current condition. I'm eagerly anticipating responses to this thread. Good Luck!

Not so much a problem, as a pain in the a$$ I've removed the front bumper on my 77. I'm now staring at the 2 strut-like apparatus' (apparati?). These are held by 3 bolts on a bracket. These are a COMPLETE bitc& to even begin to deal with. I can't tell whether the nuts (17mm) are welded to the brackets(?). I can't get these, or the 14mm bolts to friggin budge (I'm speaking of the ONE that I can even get a wrench on.) I'm half tempted to torch 'em off. Being a 77, I'm wondering: 1) Are these strut looking things readily available from MSA or VicBrit? 2) If it even matters, since 77's likely won't ever be THAT valuable as a collector. In the unlikely event that I would consider taking it back to original. (You never know, the PileDriver bumpers might come in vogue!):sick:

Looking for a source for fender flares that replicate the 240ZG. The kind that have the recessed rivet look.

Injector 6 has gasoline residue around wiring.... what is this? It's visibly damp with the gas.
