  1. It took a lot of time to get the rear bumper together and on the car. On the backsides of the bumper ends and over riders, I used primer with zinc in it, and followed with a light layer of black. The backsides of these pieces were glass bead blasted before I sent them off. However, there is something about the plating process which causes rust/corrosion. It was very light, and only in a couple of spots, but I don't want it to be a foothold for more. So, hopefully the zinc primer and paint will keep further corrosion at bay. OEM chrome bumper bolts from the Z doctor were shorter than the originals (third pic here). That said, the originals are much longer than they need to be. I polished the originals a bit and reused them. Rubber strips for the over riders are aftermarket - some of the few parts on this car that are not genuine OEM parts.
  2. One of my sons and one of my daughters helped me work on cars all weekend. It was a nice weekend...
  3. I wish all you lucky rascals a great day! My dog is laying beside me I bed and that makes me happy. I can't imagine something that could tell me happy fathers day. Enjoy the day Dads!
  4. My son and I worked on the Avanti in the garage on Father's Day. Too hot (108º) to work on the Z in the driveway. Good time all around!
  5. I think you can ship a batch by sea freight, but air it not possible with rattle cans, because explosion danger
  6. For all you Father’s out there I hope you had a fantastic day. Both my Sons live out of state. Face time is a wonderful thing when they call.
  7. 1 point
Just advise him to order a weatherstrip kit as soon as possible.
  8. I do it without lifting the car. I turn the front wheels all the way to the left and reach under from the bottom behind the right front wheel to connect a tube and bottle of brake fluid and loosen the bleed valve. I use a speed bleeder valve so I can do it without an assistant.
