  1. Finally got my Louvers installed. I bought these over 18 months ago for $100 on CL and dragged them home from Oakland on a work trip. They sat for a long time as I pondered how to install them. The hardware they came with originally is unobtainable. I have a buddy near my that has a 78’Z with different style Louvers (rounded corners) and he has aluminum fabrication skills as an aircraft mechanic. He built these upper straps that hook around the rear hatch and the lower fittings that slide under the rubber molding to I could mount these . It came out great in my opinion and is very sturdy with no drilling required . Here are some pics. BTW…fresh powder coat was done this in Satin black for $130. They look like new .
  2. I've got an OEM exhaust manifold from an early 1970 432 hanging on the wall in one of my garages. I can measure it for you tomorrow.
  3. Keep Stock/Original. A vintage Z is a reminder of simpler times and a less evolved auto industry/design time. Keith
  4. Yes, this is perfect!. Many thanks! I'll use this to give the fab guys something to go by.
  5. Hope that helps. Happy to take any other measurements/photos if required. Can't help with any identifications here I'm afraid, although I have seen brackets in that area on C10-series GTR-specific aftermarket manifolds in the past, bracing them to the bellhousing. Actually I have seen many, many aftermarket exhaust manifolds for these engines. Some of them were one-offs or made in really small batches. The ex manifold on my KPGC10 was made by a race car builder called 'Ito Racing' specifically for the car in the late 1970s, and was beautifully made in the old school sand-filled hand-bending method. It would have been almost impossible to identify without the knowledge passed-on by the previous owner, who commissioned it.
  6. Here's my early 1970 PS30-type S20 OEM exhaust manifold and the dimensions from the centre of the rearmost hole in the mounting flange horizontal to a 90 degree line from the mounting face of the 'binocular' flange and the centre of its innermost bolt hole (does that make sense?). Anyway, pictures saving words:

Boy, I have no idea why it linked my membership application through you. I think I just went in the front door of the website and hit the join button. Decided to join up since my 260 early restoration is finally kicking into gear. Sorry if I creeped anybody out 😅
  8. Insured through classic car insurers like Haggertys much sooner. Way better than lumping them in with my other cars.
  9. I've not seen one with the ring connector either. Pre EFI has a single wire for the gauge only, the 280s have one for the gauge and one for the high pressure fuel pump cutoff. I'm pretty sure I used the yellow size crimp bullet connector on my '72. You could buy the new sender then figure out your connection when you get it.
  10. 240Z I agree. Once you get to the 280z with the park bench bumpers is a different story. Don’t IMO believe they will ever come close to 240Z values.
  11. I’ve never seen a ops on a S30 that looked like that.
  12. Hai Route 66, welcome here.. If you want that kind of silver i recommend you to go for the nissan 300zxtt silver (number is: KL0) It's as brite and you keep it in the family!
  13. For me, here's a small list: Pick a stock color to paint my '71. It would be more valuable later. Don't buy NOS front fenders, just fix the fenders that came on the car (they weren't that bad). Don't install poly bushings, just use new rubber bushings. Don't drill holes in the floor. Never do this. Buy that electric fuel pump bracket you saw on eBay. They are hard to find now. Install stock front valance, the series 1 doesn't need to be modernized. I'm sure I'll keep adding to the list. Mike
  14. View Advert Dealership Paper Collectables I found these paper documents at the swap meet recently. I don't know if any of you collect these types of things. I have not found too many collectable posts on this forum. I thought they were cool unique items for a Datsun collector. $20 for the 4 pieces shipped, media mail (in the 48 US States), I have a few sets of them. I would ask for friends and family PayPal, as I should't be considered a scammer. If you want the protection of Goods and Services the price will be $22. 15. Today's puzzle. I have two s20 exhaust manifolds, which to my eye appear to be meant for the C10 GTR models. One of them has been shortened, i'm guessing for use in a Z432. Since I don't have an original-looking Z432 S20 exhaust manifold on my Z432, I thought it would be a suitable exercise to get this manifold re-flanged for use in a Z432. At the same time, I'd replace the one section of pipe that has somehow been squashed. Not entirely sure of the origin of these manifolds. Any thoughts as to where they might have come from? The pipes appear to be stainless. The cut unit appears to have a custom mounting bracket, which I'm guessing by it's position was mounted onto a custom bracket off of the bell housing/rear of engine block. The bracket does not appear to be aligned with anything I can see on my cars. What I'd like to know is the horizontal distance between the last bolt-hole on the exhaust port and the exhaust pipe flange. In other words, how far back from the rear-most bolt hole is the flange located, in order to properly bolt up to a standard exhaust setup? If anyone has a part that's out of the car (even an aftermarket bolt-up part will hopefully have the same dimension) this would be a straightforward exercise, and I'd be grateful.
  16. Took the tires to get balanced . They said 3 of 4 wheels were not running true - bent .
  17. FSM says bullet connector and that's what I use on mine.
  18. here is the COTS solution (with minor mods) for the S bend that I hope will work out. looks good on the mock up test stand.
  19. The measurement on my 7/70 is 17.5" back to back of the vertical face on the brackets. Hope this helps.
