  3. 52 years!!! Amazing
  4. Watched Fletch on my layover the other day: if you haven’t seem it and want a flashback to the good-ole 80’s it is a must watch. Wow, has our country has changed, I’d give up all the tech to go bac. Chevy Chase is classic. Loved this movie. Saw 2-3 Zs in the movie.
  5. Hard to tell from that pic... Start simple. Take a pic of your HVAC controls. Does it have a setting for A/C or not? Here's a pic of a non-AC control head: And here's an example what it looks like if you have factory air:
  6. QasimLed Bayonet BA9 BA9S 53 57 1895 64111 T4W Super Stable and Bright Led Bulbs Exterior Marker Indicator Interior Reverse Side Corner Light White 12V DC 10pcs https://a.co/d/9Ah2tn8 I bought the white and kept my green lenses. Mine is an early 260Z and polarity was correct.
  7. Worked on finishing the seat upholstery & re assembly today guts of original used Saran Wrap on the headrest area, made it easier to pull the cover over & align it inserting original support wire Cover going on securing the bottom edge this one is more even cut holes for the hinges fit protectors behind hinges hinges in place on cushions Uprights are a little tricky - the back screws don't have a taper guide tip, so I used the rail screws first to position the hinges then swap out for the correct bolts one at a time all together rails back on after clean & lube I put them back in the car for now - have to finish cleaning the floors run the heater wiring & put the carpet in before actually installing them found a small area of surface rust to address on the forward passenger side seat attachment
  8. Yes, it had some debris fall out. If nothing else I can use the system as a template to have a new one built. I will probably give it a try and see what it sounds like.
  9. Someone reported these as being dimmable. I can't remember if it was @cgsheen1 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B9MGSX7K Update: It was @kully 560 who used them.
  10. hmmm, did some more testing, put the bosch narrow band in, car runs like poo (goes super lean) back the the NTK, good to go. Guess the bosch is not the right one OR some cheap counterfeit deal. It was very low cost like 13$ IIRC guess you get what you pay for. The NTK was more like about 40$. I have the denso on the way, more video and testing to come when it arrives.
  11. Love it! I hit 30 years of Z ownership in June.
  12. Maybe my message got him looking. I'm glad you're getting taken care of.
  13. Ok - they just replied to my message on FB, and I went ahead & bought one of the two non-blem dashes he had.
  14. Yeah, it sounds like you hit the limit of your press capacity. That's exactly how it feels when you hit the pressure limit. Why don't you give SteveJ's 20T a try? Always fun to have someone watch over your shoulder you as you sweat nervously while you have something under 19.5T of pressure.
  15. I suspect the U-joint spider is heat treated and would be difficult to drill and tap. Depends on how hard they made it. I know the tips where the bearings contact have to be quite hard. The body doesn't need to be that hard. but unless they selectively hardened the tips (inductive heating), the whole body would be hard. I'd hit it with a file first to see how hard it is. If the file just skates, it's a tough job to drill and tap that.
  16. I'm guessing that @Patcon uses the same "show me all of the new activity in the past 24 hours" feed that I do. And since they all occurred in the past 24 hours, all of them show up. Between the two recent topics, I get six of them. I thought you were having internet troubles and were getting duplicate posts. I certainly didn't think you did that on purpose. Before people replied to some of them and split them up, I got just about a whole screen of it! "Fairlady Z's topic in USA Eastern pic in USA Western y Z's topic in Canada d a topic in Canada a topic in USA Eastern in Maryland Z Club's Discussions"
  17. 1 point
I ended up taking it to a shop to get it done right. They replaced most everything. They did warranty it though so thats good i guess
  18. I worked for the Z432 tach which I want to make it being works look. The works tach which I have seems not working with a standard Z432 igniter system, so I decided to transfer its glass with a needle and scale Zero at 6 o’clock. It was very easy job but I found I need to make a hole for an additional illumination lamp just next to the left hand turn signal indicator. We don’t have the extra lamp because our cars don’t need it. For the Zero at 6 o’clock scale, it must be. Otherwise I can’t see it well esp IMG_1851.MOV ecially around 0 to 3000 rpm at night. I will do it when I have time. Kats
