  1. Figured it out. Mr Gasket low PSI fuel pump could not push fuel. I bypassed it completely and routed fuel to the mechanical pump. starts like a champ now
  2. Thanks for the video. Do the other plugs show the same intermittent spark? I'm betting no.
  3. If you can be sure your car will NEVER, EVER get wet for any reason such as rain, car wash, or other situation, you can consider going without these boots. You are correct - they prevent water from getting into the hinge pocket in the roof section. Once water is in there you can be sure the rust worms will be hard at work! When replacing the boots, it is important to retain the metal plates that fit between the boot and the hinge. The plates prevent the boot from being distorted when the hinge bolts are tightened. The plates are NOT a separate P/N, they came to Nissan from the OE boot mfr. as part of an assembly. The plates are not offered by the companies now making the repro boots, must be reused from the owner's car or obtained from a donor vehicle.
  4. Series 1 on ebay. https://www.ebay.com/itm/394502712476?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=fFdwTZJLQH6&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=_AYqAzeGTJq&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  5. If you only use the mechanical put a bottle under the hood close to the pump. The mechanical pump struggles to prime the line without the car running. If it were me, I would start with the substitute supply at the electric pump. If it works great, if not, move the fuel supply to the mechanical pump
  6. I would think you could put the container on the floor. If there's not a ton of extra line the electric fuel pump aught to prime itself. If it won't raise it up while the pump is running until it primes. Put a return line into the same container so it won't pump all the fuel back to the tank.
  7. Cant lay it flat. I came up with this custom box.
  8. Helicopter tape. Produced on military contracts to a government specification. Very much like Gorilla brand tape. The stuff is like duct tape on steroids. Extra sticky, extra durable. You should have a suitable tape there.
  9. Thank you @HS30-H - I used your pictures to locate some incredibly faint imprints of the Alternator: L-X503 12V 00806. I'm supposing the difference in the last number indicates that these are a run of numbered units?
  10. It is the clutch pedal return spring that I am looking for. I believe that the brake pedal return spring and clutch pedal return spring have the same part number but are both discontinued from Nissan. Thanks
  11. I would replace it all for expediency. Dizzy to plugs. Once you know it's ignition related you can locate the exact cause by using sections of the substituted system
