  1. I want to wish my 76 - 280 a happy birthmonth she was born in November 1975. She is 40 years old and only has 51K miles. For her birthmonth I add a third light or center light. Here is what I used. 2PCS LED Daytime Running Light 2X6W 17CM COB Bulb Car DRL Driving Lamp RED DIY found on Ebay for $14. CARCHET Flash Strobe Controller Flasher Module for LED Brake Tail Stop Light found on Amazon for $4.55The strobe controller strobes 3 or 4 fast and 4 slow flashed and then full on. Here is a video, Utube. I mounted them on a piece of "L" shaped aluminum and drilled a hole in the middle to pass the wires through and added the strobe controller at the far end. Soldered the wires from the controller into the right tale light. Black wire was easy, the other was a little harder my two wires coming out were green-white and green-yellow, used the green-yellow. No plastic panels needed to be removed. I used the "L" on top cut in three 1 inch pieces (one left and one middle and one right) and slid tham under the rear window rubber and the glass.
  2. This group of people IS truly amazing. To be a member of a group of people that believes in giving, is a privilege. CZCC is a bright spot in the world. Keep up the good work. The world needs it.
  3. There's a lot of good people around here. I've felt welcome since my 1st post.
  4. Got the heat working on my 77'just in time for fall. I had replaced the heater core and hoses earlier this summer with the dash out and everything was good. Then it wasn't. Rebuilt the vacuum selector valve, still not good. Turned out when I reinstalled the vacuum selector valve I had not engaged the teeth properly . All good now!
  5. Sent them a message.... Hope they respond

I also managed to arrange repair weld in rocker panels and the lower part of the rear wheel arches, because the previous owner didn't repair that quite well. Also the joint that the rocker panel has with the rear panel ( below the door ) was not visable, but now will be.. as to original specifications. Because the car it getting a new respray anyway, we can do this. Let's do it right We didn't know of the joint the last time it was resprayed. In the mean time while waiting for the 240Z to come back from the body shop, I thought it was nice to share my story on Hagerty. https://www.hagerty.com/yourstories/2015/11/22/The-Datsun-240Z-a-legend-from-the-land-of-the-rising-sun20151122092757
  7. More couple of pictures just to show that they are going in the right track.....
  8. I am glad I read this post. I forgot I needed the rubber block so I made a mold for one today.
  9. Hold that thought. Dennis
  10. Wow, you all have each sent me kind words, loving my RedBird, 11 of you!!! That is so amazing, such sweet and kind members here. I feel close to each of you and wish to thank you for giving me the lovely thoughts. - When I joined this group the first week of June, I was quite a novice, never having been on a list like this. I was searching for some helpful information, knowing RB was not running right, and not trusting of local "mechanics". Most of them are barely older than these Z's. One told me "all electric systems are alike", wanting me to let him work on RB. Nope, I sure did not believe that line. You gentlemen and ladies jumped right on it, putting me safely under your wings, taking good care of us. I never have been cared for by a group of men (mostly) , who I didn't even know. But now, I am, You are the BEST. So huge THANK YOU'S, I am so greatly impressed with this group and the members. We (RB&I) would not be in this stage with her, without all that love being given to us. We sure needed it, and now she is showing the benefits. I hope I will be able to pay your kindness forward, until it covers the whole Earth. Nice thought, eh??? Jai 😇 🚘
