There is a proper name for the decipher……looking at the “white dot”, over or under letters of appropriate name…924C2A8C-6C0C-482E-B334-3FF6B832A54F.jpeg

The dots around ASAHI give you the YEAR of manufacture, and the dots around TEMPERLITE and LAMISAFE give the month.

Vacuum out passenger door this evening quickly, noticed a small flexible tab for holding a wire inside the door!!    Proof the door light was really a thing….. or at least a thought anyways….. this is fun so far… not enough time in the day.BD7B0833-11B4-4FA4-9D63-8204DCEB9F9D.jpegFD192160-92C1-46EA-B1DA-12F52AB7F754.jpegCD07F11E-D1C8-4789-9BD1-BC3F7A89EBF0.jpeg7E782752-7332-448E-AFBF-8328B96CFDED.jpeg

This car is a lot better than I initially imagined. Very encouraging!

Right rear inner quarter looks clean.  plastic fuel vent T broke off, was very brittle.  Hoping there is a reproduction for that part.
Spare tire space has some surface rust, after a quick wire wheel, the light under the car trick BA9D7DA1-6581-41EC-A51A-5032467ECB52.jpeg6E1B248E-27B6-4BC8-9673-096DB3C234B5.jpeg127DBBC1-71E6-4A4A-ADD5-8552EB2D3EED.jpegF1E022E9-034C-4069-9A8E-36CEABAE10AB.jpegshowed no stars ️showing through from below….. border line to replace, have evaluate further for course of action.

I believe the spare wheel well is now available as a reproduction panel. With that deep rusting I would replace it. Especially on a car that has the potential high value that this car could have.

Early hand throttle cable attachment under cowl spot weld pulled out.

Drivers floor has a couple of rust areas, under seat as well…… more inspection needed from underneath to determine if new floors, or replacement of rotten areas.

Firewall looks perfect

It is the somewhat infamous vin 51 car that went through BAT back in 2013 or so….
yes , a shell, with correct dates glass, and engine block.

Does anyone know the details of the past infamy?  Tried to find it on BAT but their records only seem to go back to 2015.  The backstory makes the car more interesting.
