I am looking for the rubber cushion blocks that are mounted on top of the inner fenders just in front of the inspection lids that the fenders and ends of the cowl rest on. Anyone ever tried to re-creat these rubber cushion blocks or happen to have a supply of NOS pieces? Can't find a part number on the parts CD. The correct demensions would be of vital importance to fabricate as well as the correct material type and density. There would be four cushion rubber blocks, one under each fender, and one under each end of the cowl. My explanation may be pretty vague, but any help appreciated. Dan

I took the plunge today, cant stand those bubbles and bog areas any more plus my car needs a new paint. So with lots of swearing and sweat I managed to strip off pretty much of its cloths. Found some awesome rusts behind the fenders near the wheel arch, some underneath the rubber seals at the rear quarter windows....

Hello, I need some Body Parts (Outer Wheel Arch etc...) for my 240z since mine are really bad. luckily I found someone in Germany who sells 260z repair panels. Pictures : http://port9.org/panels/ unfortunately, I didnt got any further informations about the parts. I'm wondering if they will fit on my 240z (72)? Greetings

Does anyone have a photo of the attachment point of the early front bumper metal mounts. Are there 2 metal braces or 4 (I can only find 2, so I hope it's not 4). Since I removed the front bumper over a year ago, I simply can't remember and searched the site for some pictures but came up empty. I thought I had it right, but when I went to attach the headlight bucket the bumper brace was in the way.......I'm sure it's simple but wanted to seek assistance before I head back out to the shop on Monday. Thanks.

Can someone give me a rough idea what it should cost to rechrome a 240z bumper? Figuring the bumper needs minor work (scratches and a minor ding)?

What's the real story on the cars and how they came from the factory? Did they come bare underneath, painted, primered, undercoated? Or did the dealers to the undercoating? What was the norm for a 240Z coming off the boat? Thanks. I am spending a lot of time under my Z inspecting the bottom and I find no rust, thin undercoating, and a few spots where the undercoating scrapes off easily revealing shiny, bare sheet metal. Mostly in the tunnel where a bad trans seal allowed oil to soften the undercoating. What was the norm if there was one?

Are these original JDM headligt covers? or aftermarket. I have never seem them in the boxes with writings in English. They normally come in regular brown cardboard boxes with white paper. Rings look little narrower........

Underside shot with epoxy, then textured with base and top coats over the top. It's all happening now. At last.

Ok so i have posted most pics here http://wogsrus.gallery.netspace.net.au/album01 and a post about soem rear end here http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,6227.0.html Esentially the car is a 75 2+2 mostly complete. The rust in some areas is a bit of a pain in the arse. Comes complete with interior, and so froth, wheels, but no engine or gearbox. Bonnet is shagged, front panels are crappy but i have good set from the donor car. Overall it looks fkucking fantastic when you see what i am working with. The owner is asking $1500 as is, which i think is a fair price, he is looking at an alternative which has been in a garage under cover for 15 years but still registere…

Hello all. I need to paint a front valance. I have purchased the single stage paint, hardener and reducer. My plan was to use a Preval sprayer. The paint shop owner discouraged this, saying that the spray pattern is too small to do a good job without being very careful and precise. I have access to an air compressor (2 actually, one a 30 gal., the other industrial capacity). So, first question, any votes up or down on using the Preval sprayer. And, if the general consensus is don't use the Preval, what is the minimum amount of additional tools (with estimated cost) I would need to do this job? Thanks, Gary S.

I recently got my first Z from States. Windows were secured with blue tape (very fragile tough) during transportation. So my problem is how to remove it without damaging paint. I've tried warm water and soap but results were poor. Also im having a bit of a situation with emblems. Seems like the PO has closed almost all of the emblem pin holes whilst the car was painted. And i only got emblems with pins. So should i try to make those holes or just cut the pins off and glue them? If with glue, what kind of glue do you recommend? Also i need to know how to locate exact position of hatch "240Z" and "DATSUN" emblems. Sry for my noobnes.

Has anybody purchased Charlies (zedd findings) Floor support rails? Can you give me a review of them? He says that they are replicas of the originals. My idea of a replica is that it is undetectable from the original. Would that be accurate? Thanks, John
