I already have the heater hose grommets for my 240z, but I can't seem to find the other grommets that are located at other places on the firewall. I believe there are 2 more grommets besides the heater hose ones. One is for the choke cables and the other is for electrical wires. Does anyone have the Nissan part numbers for these grommets?

My nephew's 240z windows don't operate. He got a hold of scrap doors with the regulators still intact, but just couldn't manage the swap. Does anyone know a good shop in the Washington, DC area where he might get the work done for him? Thanks.

I don't put too much into the cosmetics of my cars. I try to keep up mechanically and electrically, and that's pretty much it. My 73 once received a 3rd place trophy at a show. Yeah, there were only 4 S30s present. You should have seen the rolling collection of rust that was the 4th car. Anyway, I was at Caffeine & Octane yesterday. It's incredible how many great cars show up month after month. I was hanging out with some people from this board & some Georgia Z Club members through the show. Most everybody had left, and I was getting ready to leave when some people came by to admire my car. They even wanted to get their pictures taken sitting in it. It's nice to…

I was wondering from expert/experienced opinion, which upgrades should I get first? I want to do this in the right order so I don't regret getting one upgrade before/after another. Also, I was wondering of what you guys think about the brands/packages that I'm thinking of getting and suggest any brands/packages that you know of that are good. I want the car to still be street legal (California), but be able to bring it to the track every now and then for some cornering fun! - Suspension and Brakes: Arizona Z Car (Track-Pak) - Triple Carburetors: Weber - New Steering Column - new paint and body alignment (body is not that bad, just misaligned in a few spots...) - LSD upgr…

My neighbor was kinda enough to think of me when he was scanning the funny pages in the newspaper a few weeks ago. I liked it so much I had it laminated so I could hang it at my desk at work. After a good search on Google I could not find this comic online so I scanned it and wanted to share it with everyone. I think its pretty cool. Enjoy!

In the mid to late 90's I refreshed my 2/71 240. It turned out pretty good and really haven't done much with it since. I was pretty active with the original List-serv we had and when we swapped to the forum I obviously lost some interest. As my last two posts were in 2004 and 2009! I hope Carl and some of the older guys are still around. I have spent the last decade raising kids, and working. I got away from tinkering with cars. Last fall I got the bug again and ordered a factory five cobra kit car. I spent the winter building it. Kids really enjoyed it. Where is all this going? Well, my 15 year old and I were messing around Saturday and he asked if the Z still ran. We …

Lately, I've been burning DVD's from old VHS tapes my family has collected and recorded over the past 30 some-odd years. I had a few tapes that had no indication what was on them. Imagine my surprise when one of them held a Hemmings Motor News TV show that featured the 240 to 280 Z. The segment is only about 7 minutes long, but has some memorable footage in it. Old commercials, including the John Morton 240-Z, and footage from an early Motorsport Auto show. The disc is burned; and I may even keep the tape.

Well it is almost fully sanded and skim coated. I ran all of the gas tank evap lines and am abouut to install the heater core and rest of the HVAC stuff today. Motor and everything under the hood are completly together minus the washer bottle. Not sure if I will put the dash in before paint and windshield as I do not want to damage my now mint dash. It has been a lot longer road than I invisioned but I am very happy with how it is coming along. I had to test fit the new wheels and rubber and have to say I am in love with the Tokico setup and 225-50-15's. It looks alot wider and lower to the ground now rather than floating on big baloon tires.
