  2. I think you rage baited him to hard by calling him out and now he’s too afraid to show his face. At least it’s another rage prone neckbeard AI bot gone from the forum.
  3. Today
  4. I am in the process of restoring a 280z where i will be adding the Rocket Bunny kit. This kit adds 4 inches to the width of the car so i will be adding larger tires. I've been doing research and found a few articles about current builds with this kit and they are running 17x9.5, -15 off set (FRONT), 17/10, -25 offset (BACK). or similar with 16 inch wheels all with the stanard bolt pattern 4:114.3/4:4.5 I am trying to find options and basically cant unelss they are completly custom which i probably dont want to afford. I technically found a way to do it with 5:120 bolt pattern and a more typical offset around +25 but i would be running 50mm spacers which isnt the best idea. I do like the deep lip offset look of the tires which i would lose by doing this. any suggestions?
  5. Forgot to say - are you sure it's really Mike? The chatbots stop responding also. Maybe it's too late. We miss you Mike. πŸ˜ͺ
  6. I don't mind the chatbots, I think that it's interesting to interact and see what happens. It would be nice though to have some acknowledgement that they're here. I see them on Youtube comments and people do get fooled. Overall though, I do worry about chatbots scamming people. We're probably on the edge of a big wave of chatbot scams. They already have the AI voices that sound like relatives from a few years ago. Somebody is going to ask an AI model "what's the best way to scam a Z car owner out of their money?" and they're going to get specific instructions.
  7. I don't think that it takes much to lock up a 12 volt DC motor. There were probably a few rust spots sticking that got polished away once you got it spinning. If it was mine I would just use it until there are problems. If it's not making noise and it's pumping how would a new one be better? They're not really precision instruments, they just push as much fuel as they can according to how much voltage they see. The regulator controls the pressure. Should be fine, I'd guess.
  8. Mike has been active on the site in the past couple hours . He knows about these posts and is choosing to let them continue on. There is significant credence in your theory Zed: I don't think it's training though... I think it's straight-up spamming and it seems we're going to have to live with it. @siteunseen , I challenge you to a game of "Spot the Bot". Hahaha!!!
  9. @Zed Head Do you think I will need a new fuel pump or I'm good as-is now that I smacked the pump to get it running? The pump is only about a year old when I let it sit.
  10. I am trolling Spot the Bot. It's a new game I like instead of telling brain dead people the same stuff over and over.
  11. Yesterday
  12. I've gotten that before but just for a minute. Happened yesterday then took a wizz and back to normal. The least of my worries is with classiczcars.com, but I understand. Logging onto government sites for insurance scares the bee Jesus out of me.
  13. Zed Head posted a topic in Open Chit Chat
Posted this on Website Questions. Can't find web site support. "We've been joking about Mike and chatbots but there really are some odd things going on. A few days ago the "not secure" page was coming up before signing in. Now the tag at the top just says not secure. Has a chatbot really taken over the site? This post must be approved by a moderator. Let's see. I'll post it on open chit chat too just for fun."
  14. I want one, Then again I want my project to be on the road also!!!
  15. It looks to be a nice Seiko watch with excellent features. Can't speak about the quality of Seiko watches. They were all the rage in mens wrist watches in 70s and 80s. My Dad received one when he retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber.

"As profound as the abundance produced by AI may one day be, an even more meaningful impact on our lives will likely come from everyone having a personal superintelligence that helps you achieve your goals, create what you want to see in the world, experience any adventure, be a better friend to those you care about, and grow to become the person you aspire to be." https://www.meta.com/superintelligence/?srsltid=AfmBOopSi7nekJMPHVTg-DdFWo-IiwGRDkvLClsBgOnqpYmc0GawGYY3
  19. Did any of you end up buying one of these watches? Just curious to know if the quality is worth the price.
  20. It's actually the US govt developing the interface for next gen public services.
  21. That's the scary part. If they put AI chatbot computer/brains in mechanical robots there will probably be a trail of human body parts left behind as they interact with people. They seem to get very angry when challenged.
  22. I recently came into ownership of an '81 turbo car. I'm planning on swapping out the intake, etc, and the cruise will be an unfortunate casualty - putting out a feeler for any takers. It is on the car currently and fully functional. I can take some video of it in action the next time I take it out. Includes everything in the FSM pic below, solenoids, vacuum pump, tanks, and the dash control panel (not pictured). This is a pic of the actual engine bay:
  23. in 75 they are not greaseable and there are no clips. The joint caps are swedged in the yoke.

  25. I also think it's for the AC (compressor motor switch). Nissan supplied a similar, blue-colored wire (with a bullet-style connector) for that purpose as part of the Z's mini-harness (Item #13 in the diagram above).

  27. That reaction from the bot is very reminiscent from the hot "Asian woman" who liked fast cars. Remember that one? "I'm just an Asian woman who simply likes cars. But I don't get the respect I deserve. There are always some idiots who question... Don't you have a mother? Always surfing the Internet and questioning others. I don't have that much free time to talk nonsense with you."
  28. Yeah, it's another bot of the same style I've been flagging the past couple weeks. And this is an interesting concept: Maybe @Mike is partnering with the company that is creating and powering the bots. Maybe this is the latest venture by Mike to provide some additional income from the forum by monetizing posts like the above. "If you allow us to spam your forum in this way, we'll give you $.000001 for each post you let us put up." Your theory would certainly explain why Mike hasn't been getting rid of the fake members as they are called out. Maybe they're paying him? Hahaha!!

  30. I wondered if it could be for air conditioning
  31. That's great! Yes they are difficult to get to. Especially with the driveshaft in place. Be sure and tighten the locknuts to keep things in place
