  1. Now we have 2 grumpy people hung up on spelling!
  2. Sorry, you must be confused. I WAS talking about Brand names (Chevrolet) and not the product lines of that brand (Impala, Corvette, Silverado, etc.) of a particular manufacturer (General Motors).
  3. Wow, consider all these "mistakes" and the confusion that must be out there with.....Acura(Honda), Lexus(Toyota), Infinety(Nissan), Plymouth/Dodge(Chrysler), Mercury/Lincoln(Ford) and Chevrolet/Cadillac/Pontiac/Buick(General Motors)....just to name a few past and present examples.
  4. Those damn 72's get me every time!
  5. Trust me, it works the same for both.
  6. Here's a tip I posted a while back. It always worked for me. Use any bolt that your 14mm wrench/socket will fit and with the float bowl lid upsidedown and level, place the head of the bolt sideways between the float lid and the float itself. Now as you lower the float on to the bolt head, at the point it just touches the bolt, the float tab should now be just touching the needle. If it doesn't, adjust the tab so that it does.
  7. Thanks Carl. I missed that "could be" part in your earlier post.
  8. Will someone help clear up this Nissan vs. Aftermarket thing. In another thread dealing with 8-tracks, Mr Beck states; Here in this thread, the leather/vinyl key case apparently has the part number "80690-E8200". Is this aftermarket or not and why? This number doesn't indicate "locally sourced part - sold though Nissan USA and its Authorized Dealers."
  9. 1 check for NOT! edit: Oiluj got here before me...make that 2 checks.
  10. This was sent to me by a friend in the Portland area and thought someone here might be interested in picking these up. (If they're still available that is.) http://portland.craigslist.org/clc/pts/666561509.html

Which guy & shop? I know of 2 shops here in Houston, one I would highly recommend, while the other I would highly condemn!
  13. Here's my W.A.G. Bad hose from float bowl to fuel nozzle. (or hose clamps not tight enough)
  14. R.I.P. (Rust In Peace)
  15. EGADS, I've been full house'd  Did you you even open the link? If you had, you'd have seen it's a list of 20+ items that a particular seller has up for auction! So...how much could WHAT be worth? Just a note for the other members, he's added more items including early chrome coat hangers.

Hood bumpers are later version. (Not sure when this new style came about, so I won't say they're Series II only.) Taillight surrounds appear to be painted black, but that could just be the lighting.
