Help ID brake calipers
That's what I have just done, I don't need now, but as its cheaper now, and I had no shipping cost (in with parts bulkier/heavier).

Help ID brake calipers
Jeff, I pointed out these retaining rings in post 40, here is a link; https://www.jauce.com/auction/w1147945499 Unless H30-H or Kats know of another place the get original or someone else who makes these, velo1955z is the only place I have found. I have another set of rings arriving today from Japan.

Help ID brake calipers
True, but sites like Jauce let you buy NOS parts and other rare parts, if you want, like I do, its the price that needs paid, otherwise there wouldn't be any restoration.

And here are some reproduction bleed nipples; https://www.jauce.com/auction/w1137033573 The auction has finished, but the seller has listed and sold 2 or 3 sets now, so hopefully more would be listed later if you require Jeff.

Help ID brake calipers
The pistons and seals are available; https://www.jauce.com/auction/r1144731421 And can be brought separately. Pistons, in theory, should be available from Nissan. What is also needed, which isn't in the seal kit, are the seal retaining rings...which are avail repro. Stainless instead of steel. Helps keep the water out of the piston. Here is a listing with the maker of the seal rings; https://www.jauce.com/auction/1115276814

Help ID brake calipers
The Project Mµ correct pads are about $57 , plus bidding fees and shipping, no doubt under that price of $230 +. Project Mµ great stuff, suitable for street and race, I think from 0-400 degrees C. https://www.jauce.com/auction/w1138774065

Help ID brake calipers
One or two compaines in Japan have/are doing reproductions, they look similar, but have differences in the outward apperance, no reference to M63, and I think they have two different size pistons in the caliper. I presume (Alan?) that due to the rebuild costs and the need in the market, these repros are out there. Rebuild parts (mostly) for the MK'S are available, but soon add up if all pistons need replaced. Jeff, if you decide not want to use or need the MK63's I could be interested.

Help ID brake calipers
Jeff, These look very much like the MK63 four pot caliper, you can just make out a little of the "63" under the red paint. Also, the long ridge down the caliper indiatces so. Do a search here....a very good, period caliper, even in solid rotor form... I have them, and refurbish parts are available. Judge against this pair on Yahoo Japan auctions; https://www.jauce.com/auction/x1145679334 Yours have the vented pads in, which work, but not the correct solid rotor ones.

My two swiss S30Z Fairlady Restoration build thread
Good work! The cigarette lighter you have in the above post is, as far as I know, for a Cedric 130, as I have one too!

Hardware needed
I am finding quite lot of Nissan hardware for the S30 (and to fit my CSP) is available, as some of those parts were used on other models, especially when Nissan's domestic market cars are included. 08310-62012 is listed on another Nissan engine, but NLA, but superceded by 08310-6201A. If you know how to read the part number, the A is more likely a filler, as the important info telling you what sort of fixing and size and length is the same.

Kyusha House Electronic Fuel Pump Bracket
That bracket was never fitted to European S30's, as it was added to house an electric fuel pump to try and overcome heat percolation (fuel engine bay) on the North American cars. I have one on mine, but I brought it Stateside secondhand. Even on a mid 1978 built model, the bolt holes are there on the chassis. None secondhand, considering all the volume of S30's that the US got? Or have they all gone to the rusty scrapyard...?

Kyusha House Electronic Fuel Pump Bracket
Nissan already made a electronic fuel pump bracket for the S30; https://www.carpartsmanual.com/datsun/Z-1969-1978/engine-240z-260z/fuel-piping#2 Or am I missing something..... is the price of these OEM ones so much, or so rare, repro's need made?

Datsun-240z Vs Fairlady-z432
Over here in the UK, there seems to be "have to do this" attitude that an imported LHD has to be converted to RHD (cost/finding parts) when again, only driving the S30 a few times a month/ a 1-2000 miles a year ( and some of that likely will be on the motorway [freeway]). Then a lot of the time the windscreen wipers aren't changed over. I think its due to higher prices for a RHD model here in the UK, but that is financial speculating rather than S30 ownership. its still a L model at the end of the day.

Wiper rebuild
It's not a S30, but I have been restoring my wiper pivots on the CSP311, but could be of interest to some. The pivot design hasn't really changed between the models in design principles. https://csp311.net/blog/page-12-ページ12/ Last 1/4 of the page. The wavy washer in the 2nd post in this thread I think is to take up some slack and keep some tension on the arm and pivot housing, as without (like mine) gave room for the pivot move a bit eliptical in the pivot housing (due to a 1-1.5mm space at the bottom of the pivot housing), making everything worn. As you see from my blog a new brass inner sleeve was made for the pivot housing. The original housing had a copper inner sleeve. I have made a brass spacer, and I have added provision for greasing, and machined an o ring top and bottom.

S20 air boxes
Carrying on from Kats post 11, regarding additons for emmisions cam cover and engine block breather pipes, here is the back of 2 GT-R air boxes. Blue is NOS and earlier, without metal pipes for rubber hoses, whilst the red is later and has provision. I get the impression the design for emmision attachments to the airbox due to come later on were incoporated, as the engine block breather stamping on the box is there from the beginning (blue box), slight curve in the strengthening rib. Enjoy

Nissalco garage tools
Another cool Nissalco 1960'-70s (I think item) is this brake bleeder set up. I gather its so the user can bleed the brakes themselves. One currently on Yahoo Japan auctions (at the time of writing) new, and I have 1 too. Very cool.

Nissalco garage tools
Nissalco from what I gather is Nissan Altia, I presume a company within Nissan.. Anyway, I brough a sounder meter off Yahoo auctions, and having a look now, it looks Nissalco did/do a range of garage items. This maybe not news to some, but it is to me. The sounder meter is new, and looks very 1960's early 1970s, just a cool item! Currently on Yahoo for reference, is more modern kit like a 3 ton jack (pictured) as well as bigger garage kit, wheel balancer and wheel/tyre put on thingy.

Kobe Seiko wheel fans...a sticker
Whilst on my far too frequent trawl through various searches on Yahoo Japan auctions, I found this Kobe Seiko wheel sticker. I loved it, but the price was high, and I left it a few weeks, and finally convinced myself (well the wallet) to buy it. Its fairly well documented on here who Kobe Seiko were and the wheels that they produced for the S30, as well as wheels for various other cars. I liked it as the wheel featuring on the sticker is a Maglloy version, Kobe released in, I think, 1978, and I am lucky enough to own. The original sticker is quite large (22cm) and due to its expense, I didn't want to use, or where to put it. So, I had the original scanned, scaled down (33%), added the blue colour to the hub centre, and added a "s" to wheels instead of "magnesium and aluminium wheel". This meant the text needed recentered. It reads better being plural, as I presume plurals in the Japanese language isn't something done? Whilst I was there, I had a half size and original size made (as a flie ready to make) as well. Also, the original looks like its been cut out of a sheet of stickers, as the gap at the bottom, below the text, tapers a little, this I also had adjusted. Then had one of the sticker making companies make a small batch of the 33% scaled down, into window stickers, so they stick on the inside of the window. Now the sticker is about 114mm long, a much better size to put on the car. Not done that yet, but peeling a bit of the backing away, the company making these has done a great job. If anyone wants one (for little $), drop me a line, but the reason I did this was to have a Kobe sticker I could use, and printing by the company is a minimum order quantity wise. Also, share this great original sticker for what it is.

Rain drip trim clips 280z
Yep, that tallys, part number 73815-N3701 is what I have, so a slight superseed from -N3700 listed in the 2 by 2 'fiche. Tom, I will try and remember the next time I am where the clips could be, but its been a few years since I was there.

Rain drip trim clips 280z
When restoring my 1978 260Z I got new clips, I am pretty sure they do have a part number, let me see if I can look that up. I got the the last through the UK, and they were getting expensive each. I MAY have a new one or two, but I have little idea where they are....

260z (RS30) in Japan
This carries on from a old thread; https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/22164-260z-in-japan/#comment-188206 As HS30-H says in the thread, the Japanese market 260z sold cars were recalled, so I presume anything specifically related to this model, the Fairlady 260z, wouldn't have sold in any great quantity. Well, I spotted these on Yahoo auctions Japan a few weeks ago, and I presume these are for this recalled model;

Aerodynamic Study: Spoilers & Blunt Nose and Under cover
Its my understanding too. I don't think Nissan would have added such a large undertray to the z432r otherwise. If my grey cells recall, Ben240z (on UK forum) I think there are cut outs in the inner wing, on his race car, sort of where the battery goes, so the air entering the engine bay has a place to escape too...
