This is a common question. Alot has to do with US laws. Apparently there was Gross and Net Horsepower Gross being the total power of the engine with all accessories belts etc.. disconnected. EG: Alternator, Air Con and run in a perfect environment. The other NET is a more reliable and accurate reading of horsepower with all it's components connected etc... Alot of work there for around $400 it's a good deal. Although those floors are worse than he makes out under that tar mat I'm sure there's rust lurking. The bonnet is rooted engine not running interior missing bits apart from seats. I hope someone is patient if I didn't have a Z I'd be interested I guess bit scared about the rust issues under that paint but...

Please do not get me started on the wiggles. I work in a video shop and I get reminded of this headache almost everytime I work. Apparently there one of our biggest exports and make heaps of money. Sorry if this was mentioned above but didn' not read as was in hurry. I've done an introductory welding course and was told to get a good weld you need an uncontaminated base to work with otherwise welds will be messy etc.... and may not even stick.

Please provide more info ie: What year is your Z for starters. Is it a 280zx 280z 240z etc... Fuel Injected??? Carbs? Electronic Ignition, Points Distributor. From the limited info I can think of a few things. 1.) Flooding 2.) Fuel Pump but you say it goes away. 3.) Something electronic if fuel injected.. 4.) Spark plugs? Leads?? Coil.

KGC10 Skyline Coupe if I remember correctly these are the non GTR coupe's but basically the same shape car. Powered by the L20 engine. So it would share a few things I'd assume the gearbox would interchangeable and the differentials. I recently read an article about one of these which had been modified to look like a GTR version KPGC10. It had a worked L28 with over 300HP non turbo. Sounds like alot of fun. If anyone would know about the mechanicals and their similarities to the Z I think it would be Alan. Sorry Alan to involve u .
