  1. That's just on the website. Get a catalog, I'd source you the part number but mine's in the garage.
  2. New floorpans. Deluxe model from MSA. Don't buy the cheap-o ones.
  3. Not to hijack the post, but... If I can get my car painted (stripped, primered, and painted by a a very reputable body shop) for around $1.5-2k, is it cost effective at ALL to do it myself?
  4. ^^ you guys are funny. How much does it cost to media blast a Z?
  5. It's rumored that clutchless shifting isn't harmful to cars with straight-cut gears... any truth to this?
  6. Take that $2200 and do some performance mods to your car. You won't mind that the paint is SLIGHTLY off when you have that nice feeling/sound.
  7. Err... Working at Nissan, I just called a certain phone number and ordered a brand-new 1972 Datsun 240z Sports Factory Service Manual, both manuals (Chassis/Body and Engine) condensed into one. I paid cost +10% as an employee, but I can check on pricing for club members if you guys would like. Just shoot me a PM.
  8. www.midwestz.com Try Chloe first!!!!
  9. I'd just totally do some awesome ninja action and start flying around, they'd be too stunned to realize I had already chopped them all in half. Or, I'd take my beater car and run them over. And back up. And run them over. Back again. You get the idea...
  10. Invest in a Factory Service Manual...

Thanks a ton! I searched for the answer but entered in "wheel locks" as opposed to "locking lug nuts."

=/ Wheel locks, and the key in the car was not for these locks. Any ideas on how to remove them? I'm scrawny and using hand tools, and would rather not drive the car anywhere in its current state. Help!!!
  13. [This is my idea for a continuing post. Reply with one word, and explain it. Keep it Z-related and hopefully positive! See my response for an example.] Proud. Owning a Z makes me proud; proud that I found one that moved when I bought it, proud of the countless hours I spend in the garage, proud of the knowledge I am gaining and the friends I am making. Owning a Z makes me proud to have an automobile I will NEVER see two of parked next to each other (conventions excluded), proud of the thumbs-ups and the jaws agape, proud of the satisfaction of working on MY car with MY hands and MY tools! Owning a Z makes me proud of my growing collection of automotive literature, proud to be a self-trained electrician, proud of my Links folder, proud of my desktop and VERY proud of my cleaned out garage. Owning a Z makes me proud to be a driver!! Who's next?
  14. I think this has been run into previously, try searching.
  15. Yes I meant that my insurance covers it, assuming I already had a car that was insured. The 350z would obviously be insured, so therefore, the 240z would be as well.
  16. In Maryland, when you purchase a car, it is insured fully for up to 30 days after you purchase the vehicle, giving you time to register it and inform your insurance company. I bought a Honda last summer (flamesuit on) and wrecked it after 28 days of ownership, never having contacted the insurance company as my payment for my other car was JUST being processed (didn't want to pay more). They covered everything, and had no problems with it.
  17. Oh man, search button. Just search for "u-joints," it might even crash the server!
  18. Ones I am considering: ALLZCHX -too funny, but my gf would kick my you know what Z LIFE - probably what i'll go with ZMEPASU - but what if i'm driving the speed limit?? (rare but it happens) ZITMOVE - would look awesome if i broke down ZMYZCAR - self explanatory For not Z-themed: DRVNDLY
  19. I think it's going to be either the original Orange (more I look at the color under the dash, more I like it) or the Chromesilver, whichever happens to be cheaper. Should be taking it in to the shop for a quote within a month or so, just have to work out a few more mechanical issues!
  20. Man, and I just flew to the site to post this...looks like I'm too late. I like the door speakers though. Anyone have ideas of how to mount those?

Kats, I should be in Japan studying in Tokyo this time next year. It's going to hurt putting my Z back in the garage =( We'll have to meet up and talk Z!!!!

Personally, I'm going to change my Hazard Flasher stickers from "On-Off" to "Victory-Loss." Just gotta keep up with those ricers
  23. gema replied to cst0215's topic in Electrical
Check the grounds in the taillight wiring harness. Mine was off and the lamp wouldn't illuminate...wiggled it a bit, and voila. Of course, that was problem 2 of 1123242323 electrical problems, but hey...headway is headway.
  24. Happy Easter to everyone and their families. For those that don't celebrate...Happy Exceptionally Festive Sunday! Great day to take the Z's out for a Sunday cruise, or get down to business in the garage. Hope everyone has a great day! I'm off to bed...worked from 4:30am till noon, and I deserve an Easter nap!!!!
  25. My best friend has a 2004 Chromesilver 350z Enthusiast. It is a nice car to drive, has plenty of power and is very pleasing to the eye (both inside and out), but honestly...my 1972 240z up on jackstands does more for me than it could. Love my Z!!!!
