  1. Anyone who's been in the service is eligable for coverage from USAA. Our 2 Z's and car hauler are covered through Hagerty. My 4-Runner is with USAA (Dad was in the Air Force). The 454 Dually and Scott's S-10 are with Geico. All I do is work to pay car insurance Vicky
  2. I have in many a manual cars :stupid: It just lurches forward. But I don't think the car would ever actually start..........would it? I've never got that far, as I've always freaked out and said to myself, what an azz I amLOL Vicky
  3. Now that's to much IMO. The car needs to be a little more correct to even start at that price. It's a very nice Z but $9,000, I think not. We'll have to see what he finally gets. Maybe he is starting high (to say the least) so he can accept a lower bid:cross-eye Vicky
  4. We have the G-Tech mounted on the dash. That thing is awesome! (Got Mr. K's signature on the outside of the glove-box....in red!) Vicky

MSA is "People's Choice" no points are given, just a good, fun all 'round show. The Z Car Convention is a points show and is actually quite serious as far as the records/rules of the ZCCA. Vicky
  7. More like "Diss". They make no mention (thank God) of that car being a Factory Restored car, so technically they can restore it as original as "They" think, but we know better. I really don't think they are asking too much. Rule of thumb, start high, some fool just might bite. Pretty nice little Z. Vicky
  8. True. Many tints are illegal in some states. We have Limo tint on the 77. The car is "grandfathered in" becasue back in the seventies there were no restrictions on tints in Florida. The down side is at night, the reflections inside the cabin can obstuct your view, but we all know how dim our dash lights areLOL The new fad here is candy tints. The ricers just keep making their cars more tacky IMO  Vicky

That's the car they need to start with......but wait, there's no improvements to that design!!!! Vicky
  10. Bummer. Better at home than on the track in front of everyone, no? Cuong or anybody, what does "RB26" stand for? Does it have some sort of translation like our L24, L26 or L28? Vicky

I have to first like the style/lines of the car before any graphics, wheels and what not are added. Start with an S30, then we'll talk. All you guys have great talent, however. Vicky

Nice rim-shot TomohawkLOL The answer is......... The "1958 Around Australia Mobilgas Trial", a tortuous Pro-Rally tour of which few cars even finished. This was the start of Mr. K's maverick reputation with Nissan. Vicky

There is no Z in the Japanese alphabet. I read somewhere that they wanted something unique. They chose "Z" because "nothing comes after Z in the english alphabet". I'm not sure if this is correct, but I did read this somewhere. Am I right? Vicky

Mr K wanted to use racing to promote Datsun cars. What was the first year Datsun ran a race AND what was the name of that race? Vicky

An acronym representing the 3 main investors. They reorganized in 1930, forming "Datson", "Son of DAT". O was changed to U in 1933. Vicky

Answer: The Tobata Imono foundry was funded by Nihon Sagyo, a company known to stockbrokers as "Ni-San". In 1934, the new Nissan Motor Company Limited produced commercial vehicles and small cars and trucks called Datsuns. Vicky

By 1933 Datsun had become a division of Tobata Imono foundry. How did the Nissan name come to be? Vicky
  23. What used car dealer buys a car with no engine at an auction. Most used car dealers buy cars to sell quickly. I bet he paid less than $500 for that shell. Can you say "Rip-Off" Vicky
  24. Zrush replied to ChrisA's topic in Body & Paint
What about the clearcoat that goes over the paint job. Would that resist cracking from the engine heat? Just a thought. Vicky
  25. That's freakin' hilarious!!!!! Vicky
