  1. Inconcieveable! That anyone granted the opportunity to drive an S30 would not unterstand, or become infected with Z-itus(Similar to eternal bliss, but requires Time, Space, tools, premium Gasoline, and available road)! Symptoms include: Extreeme Pride in ownership, over active feet and arms, The euphoric feeling in the seat of your pants(NOT those feelings handled by Depends for those of us who sound like a bunch of old men) from a hot lap around the block, neighborhood, city, state, or country. Craving the admiration from other drivers who stop to talk, drool, and envy. A complete lack of understanding why they don't get it that they too could join in the fun. While the benefits of Z-itus are well documented, there are common side-affects, none of which are even in the same planetary configuration with placebo. You will experience forgetfullness(you find you did have a bank account, a job, a spouce, childeren with birthdays, a substantial need for food or cold ones, and a house(recurring payment),) You will experience trances-especially when walking past your Z(if you (or anyone else)can drag your away from it). You will experience chills at night-from sleeping on the ground beside your Z after having put the blanket around her while she is waiting for parts from Chloe. Seporation from your Z will result in withdrawl. Couch driving, air washing and waxing, sleeping with a winshield wiper, moping over tools are typical and to be expected. These symptoms can be life altering in nature, and should not be taken lightly. Once you have a Z to enjoy, you must have another as a backup just in case something happens to your first. While the loss of a first Z is traumatic, the quicker a replacement is available, the less severe life changes will be. While there is no known cure for Z-itus, temporarily relief may be had from active and passionate participation in a Classiczcars forum spouting the millions of intangeable qualities of an S30-and the infinate superiority of those who agree that everything else is unworthy of text, perusing photos of Z cars, and laughing at ricers. My name is Will and I have a problem....I sold my '73 ..................... ----but I bought a project '72 !
  2. Hey Frank, I have a house for rent. You would have one hellova commute-as if LA commuting isn't already bad enough. More along the scale of a Gumball rally, thats why I viewed and didn't post. I am sure that not all of the other 80 views were from La either-but seems like "someone would know something about someplace nearby". Will
  3. Hi 77Z, yes there are shows-and interest in your area, Atlanta has a strong Z-club, Georgia Z Car Club, and meets monthly, as well as having several outings-of one nature or another-in the course of a year. There was also a good club in NC, Triangle Z car club or. Both of those clubs have come to Savannah to run at Roebeling Road. I am going to get up the nerve to start the Coastal Georgia Z-car Club at some point-I have threatened several times, but life has successfully gotten in the way! Maybe to start the Club, I should arange a meet here in Savannah, and check into what it takes to secure Roebelling Road-although a caravan of Z-cars going to Tybee Island would be good too! Will

  5. Fold some aluminum foil around your door glass to see how it looks. If your car still has the chrome and Stainless trim, you might not like it as much as you think. The cars in your pictures all had very little if any chrome. Do what makes you happy-it is your car! Will
  6. Vicky, I didn't think you knew Scott was playing on the computer! :stupid: Will
  7. Sounds like you did really well! Send good pictures and we can give you a good idea of what it is worth. Don't upgrade things to add dollar value-aftermarket upgrades seldom do. Upgraded to get the car to where you want it to be. Watch Ebay for a price. Will
  8. I think Ed has got you covered(tinted) Will
  9. Make sure that it is all sound-it seem strange that the floors would be good in your situation-unless a PO had already taken care of them. If the rust is cosmetic, clean up the parts and repaint them-check the galleries for before and after pictures to get an idea of how your rate, or post pictures and the members her will be happy to help! I am getting ready to turn a '72 upside down to take care of similar things! Check the search function of the forums, and you will probably find everything you want to know, if not, just ask! Welcome to the Club! Will
  10. What about the '84 300zx-maybe a wee bit under powered? Will
  11. Bill, look on the passenger side of the engine(oil filter side) look near the back just above the last two spark plugs for two surfaces that have been machined flat. The L2(whatever), and the serial number are stamped into them I can send a picture if it will help. Will
  12. Another suggestion to go with Carls' info, consider the factory manual on CD from Courtesy Nissan-print what you need when ever you need it-I bought on for my 73, and am completely sold! Will
  13. Scott, Does Vicky know you are playing on the computer? Will Yes, you got me too-are we all this gullable-I guess there is Tim Taylor in all of us!
  14. You are a good sport about the Audi resemblance, and I am glad you are here, we need more and better perspective! I have had a 240z as a daily driver for, oh, the last 16 years or so, until my wife found out there was no baby seat mounting! I have just sold my '73 daily driver, and bought a '72 to go through with updates-the '73 didn't really need anything, so I bought a car that could come back on the road with my improvements, and sold the other to someone who would cherish it as I have! A 240Z in good shape makes a great daily driver-but don't drive it like a little old lady-it can't compete with your 350Z in performance, but it may suprise you with an exhillerating drive to work that the 350Z just can't match! Will
  15. I found another similarity between the 350Z and a 240Z, you can put your tongue in your cheek in either one! Wow! Will
  16. It is already an option on the Next years 350Z along with a TV/DVD player-(with wireless HBO, Cinemax, BET, Style, Stars, Spike, SciFi-and more), Aroma Therapy, electricly adjustable steering wheel, Back Massage, Lighted sunroof, heated air conditioning controls, chilled cup-holders, micro brewery(it only dispenses when parked), built in driver, and built in date! There is more, but You will just have to go by the dealer and get the Marketing kit! Will
  17. 2ManyZs that is strange, I sold a 1983 280ZX 2+2 last year to a man in Virginia using a bill of sale, and I know for a fact he got a Virginia title for the car! I'll try to get ahold of him, find out what he did, and let you know. Will
  18. Das what I'm talking 'bout! Thanks for the pictures-Now I understand, and agree! I look folward to reading the article! Will
  19. TexasZ, you make me proud to have been born in Texas-College Station! Every Bill of Sale I have ever written-and there have been many-have the words "One Dollar and other valuable consideration" on the purchase price line! Will
  20. See what you think...compare your avitar to this picture. I think there is more than a passing similarity! HaHa, It is a rebadged Audi-only better:love:
  21. I respect the 350Z as an effective assemblege of current technology, and a great value relative to what is out there, but my first reaction to seeing one was-who stuck the Z badges on that Audi? I am serious, I posed that question to a friend the first time I saw one! It does follow the Z tradition in marketing, but that is the only connection I can find. Is a great car, just not a great car for me! Will BTW, if a 240z was perfect, we wouldn't be changing things, would we?
  22. I have two new automobiles, a Volvo S80 and Dodge Ram Quadcab-they were bought for hauling the to be born and the to be ressurrected (No Easter pun intended) -they didn't "speak" to me either-the Volvo was the safest car I could find, and the Dodge was the best value in a truck that could hold a soon to be added to family. They are nice vehicles like a 350Z, but I have no real passion for either of them. If someone hits one of them in a parkinglot, oh well, Insurance will cover it. If someone hits my 240Z in a parking lot there could be, and probably will be a fight! Yes, I know, "someone with priorities so far out of whack does not deserve such a fine automobile", I just don't let it bother me... Will
