Just being curious here, pay me know mind BUT wouldn't a 9/'74 be considered a 1975? My 9''76 is titled a 1977. I understand it has carbs, that's why I'm stumped. Beautiful car no matter what year it is.

A remote starter, trigger style is good for the $15 cost. Helps setting the valves and beat the heck out of using a 27mm socket and pull bar on the crank nose. Another thing that I liked because I live in an extremely humid armpit state is gun safe dehumidifier. My black vinyl interior will get small amount of mold spots until i bought one of those. A good car cover is a must in my opinion. These old cars don't like water so the longer you/he can keep a nice shine without washing the better. Enjoy! Oj yeah, a set of those new heavy plastic ramps for oil changes and other under car work. You can get them cheap at a chain auto parts store and they fit together for minimum storage space.

There you go! $2,650? for a nice and shiny motor. I'd do it in a heartbeat if I needed a good motor and like new carbs. Believe it or not I met KWS and his then girlfriend, now wife, Mel Gibson's daughter. He came to my little town to record with Jerry "Boogie Man" McCain at a small private Blues Bar owned by a friend of mine. Duble Trouble was the backup band. He called me an hour before the taping started and said come on up, but don't say a word. It was Kenny's 30 something birthday and she had a cake and I was standing around the table when he blew out the candles. EDIT: I just saw he was born 6/12/77, so it was his 29th birthday. One of my lifes all time great memories.

Yes sir! I got a signature loan for the two grand and that's what my bank sent to the used car dealer's bank. After I did that my bank had a girl that bought from the same guy and had the same issue. I actually uncovered his scam of borrowing twice the amount he actually paid for cars. He would give them the title as collateral and send pictures of nicer cars to cover his lies. They did 90 day loans for him to resale the cars but be wouldn't pay so they kept the titles. Crystal meth took over my city like crack did in the '80s. I should explain my situation with more details. I bought my Camry from a shady used car dealer. I paid cash right then and he promised to get me the title from his banks floor plan loan system. 3 months of lies and then finding out he was a drug addict I took matters into my own hands by getting the wrecker service to get me a title as an abandoned vehicle that owed storage fees. We did that and then I get a call from his bank asking what I paid and when paid. Turns out he had borrowed $8,000 to buy the car at an auction and I paid him $2,000 cash. My banker sent a letter to that car loaning bank stating I had borrowed the money but never received the title. The guy I bought the car from was charged with multiple felony fraud charges as he had done this many times. I still drive the car everyday and have a clean title. He's been in jail a few times over his actions but ultimately lost a $250,000 house to satisfy his fraud charges and the bank to stay out of prison. I got lucky because I was honest with the bank involved and their investigators. I wouldn't do it for a car that was mixed up in a supposed divorce settlement.

Not a lot do in a small town as a young man but get into trouble or be a broke father. I chose trouble and have no regrets. Dogs are this man's best friend. It's an experience of a a lifetime. Once you've spent the night in a cell you never want to do it again but I'm hardheaded. My last visit was the in 2006, 112mph in a 45 on ZRX1100, drunk enough to fail the breathalyzer but my lawyer got it dismissed. Small town politics, the judge and my lawyer were in practice together before the judge got seated. Alabama is backwards but if you play their game it is easy to get by with just about anything. Once again, home town cooking.

The heater and radio faceplate? was a nightmare for me. Tough as hell also old fragile parts that are NLA. Give me a minute, I'm sure I can think of others.

As hard as it was I think I'd go to the larger 280 one if I had to do it again. Something to think about OP. Blue's tech tips has a good write up on the upgrade, fyi.
