I like my N42. I would get the N42 non EGR intake manifold that's bolted to it too. Get the the exhaust pipe cut right before the exhaust intake and pull all three off. '75 & '76 have square exhaust ports. Never mind. I see know you have the 280 version as ZKars mentioned earlier. This is all for my 240, sorry but I go straight to the last post most of the time. Life is short. Here's what I've been able to find on my laptop. Do you have the T looking connectors? That's what I put the female spade connectors on, for my 240. 280s are different. Top is the one I'm talking about. I had forgotten but I got the old dried up rubber boots back on mine too. The best picture I could find.

I honestly don't remember how tight they fit but if they were loose I'm sure I squeezed tighter with pliers. The liquid tape worked out great. It sealed everything, adding some waterproofing for any chance of getting caught out on a rainy day. I'll put up a picture I have in the morning I think shows the finished job. 280 looks better to me seeing them side by side. I had an '82 SC, took half a day to put 6 spark plugs in and 13 quarts Kendall air cooled oil. WTF was I thinking? Datsun Zs hands down. 911 looks good though!

I used female spade connectors and slathered them with liquid electrical tape. Those look a helluva lot better than my jimmy rig.

Make sure the nozzles under the carbs drop down when you pull the choke lever back. They get stuck after sitting. They'll come down about a half inch maybe? when you pull the choke lever back. A helper to feel under there would be best. Good luck, hope you get to drive it while your home.

Birds with IBS like the #918, easy target I guess. Spring cleaning my garage turned into a bird poop cleaning for the Z. Find the hose connection closest to the headlight and see if you have flow. Or try right off the pump, it may just need priming? Is it the same pump for the windshield washer? Do they spray?

Not too long ago there was a thread on that module. If i remember right he couldn't buy just the matchbox and ended up getting the whole dizzy? Then taking the module off maybe or swapping out the complete assembly. Can't recall exactly. I've wondered if the GM HEI would work in place of the e12-80? I know it works great on the 280Zs in place of that big box on the passengers foot well. Questions without answers, sorry.
