  1. Same problem with the mounts here too. I ground mine down to a half circle looking pin. There's enough in the hole to keep them in place. From what i read the mounts now are all universal and work fine on 280s. 240s need some massaging. Mine were Beck Arnleys. Good luck.
  2. I haven't done this, I run just a mechanical pump but it's a good read. For some reason I'm thinking @Jarvo2 made a change or two though to something better? http://jarvas240z.blogspot.com/2013/01/electric-fuel-pump-installation.html
  3. My favorite is CantechZ's. A bunch more here... https://www.google.com/search?rlz=1C1BOFA_enUS494US494&ei=H0HcXJOqDI6Y_Qb3loT4Dg&q=cantechz+hubcap+classiczcars.com&oq=cantechz+hubcap+classiczcars.com&gs_l=psy-ab.3...24018.24018..25642...0.0..0.111.111.0j1......0....1..gws-wiz.xo5NNLcslzM
  4. Where the Bumpuses Italian? That crate was!
  5. When you google always add "classiczcars.com" at the end and you'll find what you need. Our past threads will show up, you'll get your answer then. Best of luck!
  6. Happy Mother's Day. I'll keep trying to make some mother's! A man's work is never done.
  7. That's adjusting on the "fly" right there. I love these old cars.
  8. Sad but true. No buses or taxi service around here. If it'll crank and roll you're good to go.
  9. I found a rechargeable First Alert, all metal that fits perfectly in the bin behind the passenger's seat.
  10. Deep down South but they may have the hood? https://www.resurrectedclassics.net/
  11. My mistake. It's the brake light in the gauge that wire causes to come on. Sorry.
  12. I hung my masters in place from my garage ceiling with some nylon cord then removed/replaced the booster. Easy enough but the nuts above the brake pedal were a real pain to get back on. Took a couple of hours but saved some dough ray me. Got my rebuilt booster from amazon.com, painted it satin black and glued the Bendix red sticker onto the new one. Looks original too. Good luck!
  13. Yes! And just out curiosity, apologize if already answered, have you checked 12 volts at the brake sockets? I'm pretty sure there's a wire or something on the hydraulic distribution block under the masters that will keep the lights from power???
  14. Dont'cha hate "this mailbox is full" when you need them then honestly you wish your's was full.
  15. Totally agree with you! I know I missed out on a lot of happiness in my life but I'm glad I won't be worrying about my kid/kids having to live through the misery. It ends with me.
  16. I too suffer/benefit from deeper opinion. Graying and thinning hair, no benefits. Edit: shampoo savings=more money for my cars.
  17. Re tired! That's what you told me, time to get to work.
  18. I must agree Charles, they rarely get out of the gayrage.
  19. Are they aluminum or some type of steel? I ask because I had to grind my ceramic 6to1 where the 6 met into 1 and rubbed the bell housing. I've checked it many times usually when changing out the oil and there's still a nice clean cut. No rust after 6 or 7 years?
  20. I think it's the unrestricted exhaust, ie no catalytic converter. My souped up road race bike did it also. Straight exhaust with a small can on the rear.
  21. I have those same spatters on my garage doors and both my Zs have fresh motors. It's exhaust condensation I guess. It is normal for mine. Is this a new thing for your car? Edit... Edit#2 I have MSA 6to1 headers and their 2.5" exhaust on both cars. They push a lot of air, hence my spattering on the doors not the floor. https://www.google.com/search?client=ms-android-americamovil-us-revc&source=android-home&source=hp&ei=OA_PXKOBFMmEtQWb87e4CA&q=exhaust+condensation&oq=exhaust+condensation+&gs_l=mobile-gws-wiz-hp.1.1.0j0i22i30l3j0i22i10i30j0i22i30l3.2489.10845..13757...0.0..0.192.1925.1j14....2..0....1.......8..41j0i131j46i131j0i10.0uA6v8uPSdw
  22. A dip into some good urethane would really bring out the color I think. Looks good as is too.
  23. That's the current bid with no BUY IT NOW price, anxious to see what it goes for.
  24. Only thing I noticed was braided hoses in some pictures and slick rubber in some others. I guess some photos were from 12 years ago?
  25. Some great guitar work here. Stretched to the limit.
