  1. Hi all, just testing a post after migrating the site to a new server. Look at this cool image!
  2. Just a guess, but it could have been a software update on their side and they accidentally selected the wrong default language for all users. After you selected the new language (when you're logged in) I doubt it will be a problem again. Modifying a website for multiple languages is a PITA. These are probably the only languages they bothered to have added because of funding or development time/availability. I honestly don't know why anyone would install multiple languages on a website because there's software available to do it on the client side.

I have no idea... this car has a huge amount of time and money invested not only by me but others as well. It went through a full resto with Ztherapy and currently running triple Mikuni 40's and a blueprinted Rebello L28. They used it as a shiny car in a PDX roadster show years ago. I also know the full history, as it started out new with Bob Gilder (pro golfer) and was sold to his brother in law when he got sponsors and a free Mercedes. His inlaws drove it around for years before letting it sit at their parents house. I picked it up with a frozen block during my Jr year in high school and replaced the engine. I drove it around for about a decade before I started sand blasting every part imaginable. It went through college, girlfriends, marriage, divorce, a few more girlfriends, another marriage, and many different moves/jobs. This car probably knows me more than I know myself. I guess, to me it's priceless but I'm done letting things like this keep me planted where I don't want to be.

Getting close to making a run on this. I still have to get out to the storage unit to flush the brakes. But after the holiday I'll be pulling her back home to finish up any details and get her on BAT. If you know anyone looking send me a mail.
  5. No they aren't getting worse, they are just getting more intelligent. Problem is, if you reply to these posts they will know it's working. Do not reply, instead use the report feature. His reply is on topic (technically) except for the link to the BMW engine site. So, I just deleted the link. Mike
  6. For my reference (later if needed), this was an issue between our server and an improved security requirement with Cloudflare. They wanted IPv6 and stronger SSL settings. I gave them what they wanted and all should be happy now. Until the next technical issue ... ;)
  7. Workin on it... some people are getting this message while others are not...
  8. Oh that's a nice one...
  9. Zed Head, I need to address a couple of things directly. You crossed a line by going after another member personally instead of keeping the discussion focused on Z-related content. That’s not acceptable here. On top of that, bringing up internal admin functions publicly is another boundary that shouldn’t be crossed. I respect the knowledge you bring to the community—there’s no question you’ve helped a lot of people and contributed valuable insight over time. That’s exactly why I’d prefer to keep you engaged here. But that only works if we keep things respectful and focused on the shared interest. I’m not interested in refereeing personal disputes or dealing with ongoing conflict. This site runs on limited resources, and my priority is keeping it running and useful for everyone. Please take a step back, keep interactions respectful, and focus on contributing in a constructive way. The same expectation applies across the board. Let’s get things back on track.
  10. It's not a website function and this site has not been breached. It's more than likely a Google Chrome thing telling you that your password was used on another site. Create a unique password here and you'll be fine.
  11. Guys WTF, keep the personal attacks off this website.
  12. Oh, I like the idea of a thermal camera ... thanks for the heads up about these Amazon deals.
  13. Hey guys, yeah looks like our drive filled up. I got it working again and then it filled up again... lol I'm working on a longer term solution, sorry about the inconvenience. Mike
  14. Yeah, for $5/mo you'd be better to buy a subscription here anyway... 🤪
  15. The Nismo version is actually not too bad...
  16. I do like the addition of the front grill bar... however, the back end of this car just isn't my cup-o-tea. I also like the fact they are paying respect to the retro Z's that we all love.
  17. 2027 Nissan Z goes even more retroStory by AutoGuide.com News Staff Jun 11 • 3 min read • Updated 11h ago Key takeaways Performance & Mechanics: The 2027 Z introduces larger shock absorbers for Performance models and, for the first time, a manual transmission option on the Z NISMO. New 19-inch RAYS alloy wheels with Bridgestone Potenza S007 tires enhance both style and brake visibility. Design & Styling: The front end features a split grille inspired by the original 240Z (S30), with a new Z emblem replacing the Nissan badge. A new exterior color, Shinkai Green Pearl Metallic, and optional tan interior pay homage to past generations. Technology & Interior Updates: Sport and Performance models now include a digital instrument cluster with nostalgic startup animations, highlighting previous Z generations, while NISMO retains its unique sequence. The 2027 Nissan Z is scheduled to arrive in summer 2026 with a number of updates focused on performance and design. Changes include larger-diameter shock absorbers for Performance models and, for the first time, a manual transmission option on the Z NISMO. Nissan has also revised several styling elements, adding new references to past generations. One of the most noticeable changes is the front end. The 2027 Z adopts a revised split grille design inspired by the original 240Z, known internally as the S30. Nissan says the redesign maintains cooling performance while creating a look that more closely resembles the first-generation Z. The Nissan badge on the front has also been replaced with a Z emblem, a design cue that recalls earlier generations including the S30, S130, Z31, and Z32. "When we launched this generation, there was a lot of discussion around the front face and the big grille for cooling," said Paul Hawson, director of Advanced Product Planning & Strategy at Nissan North America. "We've been able to maintain that cooling but have leaned further into the nostalgia by adding a horizontal bar through the mouth so it looks more like the S30 generation." The Z Performance model also receives a new set of 19-inch RAYS alloy wheels. The ten-spoke design takes inspiration from the machined wheels offered on the Z31-generation 300ZX during the 1980s. Nissan says the thinner spoke design also makes the brake rotors and red brake calipers more visible. The wheels are paired with Bridgestone Potenza S007 tires, with rear wheels measuring half an inch wider than those at the front. "The new wheel design carefully balances a modern look while paying homage to the beloved Z31," said Shinichiro Irie, program design director at Nissan who led the design of the current-generation Z. "Plus, the thin spokes show off the Z Performance's large brake rotors and red calipers." A new exterior color joins the lineup as well. Called Shinkai Green Pearl Metallic, the paint is inspired by the Grand Prix Green color offered on the original S30-generation Z. Nissan says the paint uses ultra-fine yellow and blue pigments to improve resistance to fading while maintaining the desired green appearance. A subtle metallic finish has also been added to provide additional depth. Inside, Z Performance models can now be ordered with a tan interior. The color combination is another nod to the original S30, which offered similar interior tones. Nissan notes that the tan upholstery can be paired with several exterior colors, including Shinkai Green Pearl Metallic, Black Diamond Pearl, Bayside Blue Quad Coat, Pearl White TriCoat, and Solid Red. "The tan interior provides a sophisticated impression that contrasts nicely with the black cabin materials on the upper dash and doors," Irie said. "We expect Z enthusiasts to love this new offering." The digital instrument cluster also receives an update. Sport and Performance grades now feature a new startup animation that highlights previous generations of the Z when the vehicle is started. NISMO models continue to have their own unique startup sequence. "When you start up the car, you'll notice a new startup sequence. It includes previous Z generations popping out in an animation," Hawson explained. "It's more nostalgia – we're trying to pay our respects to the generations before." With these updates, Nissan has added several new references to the Z's history while introducing a handful of mechanical and technology changes for the 2027 model year. 18. I mean AI works for some good things... ;)
  19. Wow this looks like a fun project! The colored one is ok but I'd probably go for a silver/black or a black/black option. Some of us are sporting polished aluminum heads and don't really want the flashy colors. Have you also checked to make sure the hood clears the cap? Sorry it's a dumb question but should be brought up. ;) I also think it would be cool to fill the cap with clear epoxy like you see on some challenge coins.

Hey all, I just got this survey from VTO Wheels. They were a sponsor on our site years ago and looking for some feedback about their product. If you've looked at VTO Wheels (or even purchased a set), please spend about 5 minutes to take their survey. I think they are looking for some feedback to know where to go next. If you've seen them mentioned here, please also mention that in your response. It really helps these guys understand where their business comes from. Thanks a bunch. Here's a link to the survey PS: It looks like they are giving away a free Tshirt for taking the suvey. ;) Mike
