Thinking about club shirts this year. Need an idea of how many different sizes we'll need to buy. I've heard many different ideas about purchasing shirt sizes, but, I'd like to get a better idea through a poll. What do you think?

I'd like to see the original list of modifications and options. Can you go ahead and cut-paste them into a message?

Heyya!! Yea, I'm in Albany (cough)... a little white-trash town just south of Salem. There are about 4-5 other classic Z members in Salem/Portland/Vancouver area.... there are even more "all Z" members in that area as well. Just wait, I'm sure a few will chime in. Escanlon? Actually, I meant to never drive it in the rain ever again.. Why? I spent $6,500 on paint, bodywork, etc... This baby only comes out when it's sunny. :cheeky:

Geeze Victor, I am sad and happy all in one. I never really saw this post until tonight! Sorry you had to go through the experience, but, I'm glad that your story turned out OK. Count your blessings. Your car had a few minor things to repair and that's good!! She could have turned out smashed into a tree. I wish these idiot car thieves (looooosers) would stick to stealing Camry's, Honda's, and your standard boring car. They don't deserve to even DRIVE a car loved that much by someone. I had this same problem. I spent a lot of money on new U-joints (all 6 replaced). The clunk was reduced. But, it wasn't until I replaced the diff mount and the moustache bar bushings that it went completely away. I even had the diff checked out. Point? Replace the mounts and bushings before you assume it's the diff itself.

I offered to help with their site but haven't heard back. If they need help with a portal system, all they need to do is ask! I've been working with them for quite awhile. -- Mike :cheeky:

You can also buy a carbon fiber replacement hood ! I think Classic Datsun is still selling them.

Cool... The search feature (in the link module) is also pretty good. But, I haven't tried it much. Might want to try and search the forums as well. Maybe it was a forum message.

Alan, I like your idea! What if you were to post a poll asking about the kind of 240's people own (including all countries). We have about 111 240z's in this poll, so far. Give this poll another week and go ahead and post the poll. You'd be the most qualified to do the list. What do you think? -- Mike

Sandblasting with a siphon feeder and a small volume (inexpensive) air compressor will not usually warp the metal. I sandblasted my entire car. If I was to do it again, I would have done the following: 1) Move everything else out of the garage. Putting up plastic can protect other parts of the garage, but, sand WILL get everywhere. I can guarantee that part. 2) Use a sandblaster that pressurizes a can (this type can warp metal) instead of the siphon feeder. The siphon feed type can take a LONG time. The pressurized can type will make this job go a lot quicker. I ended up purchasing 3 siphon fed systems by the time I was done. 3) Use a sand that does not cause cancer in lab rats. Mine was a silica based sand and has the potential of giving me cancer. Ugh. The things you do when you're younger. 4) Buy a sand-blasting hood from the beginning. I don't care if you think you're gonna take a shower after every session, the sand will still be in your hair, ears, and other places. Buy the hood made from the lightweight white material and if you can afford the suit.... do that too. You'll avoid having sand all over your house. 5) Never plan to drive your car in the rain. If there is sand in the holes and things, they say that water can get in and cause more rust. Hell, don't even let water get near this baby. You spent a long time blasting her to hell.... you don't want to have it ruined by rain!! Anyway, just some tips.
