  1. Gary!! My thought and prayers are with you.... Please let us know how things go...
  2. I actually wish I still had my roadster. It was a fun little car! But, it was just that.... LITTLE. Every time an SUV would pull up behind me, I'd take a quick glance to the side to make sure I could escape if he couldn't stop. FYI, the bumpers are just about eye level. It was a great little car to take out into the country on a nice hot day. I remember spending some great times with my dad before he passed away doing just that..... The car was pretty expensive to buy parts for, so, keep that in mind. If you have a chance to buy one for less than the current owner has spent on it.... that's gonna be your best deal. I spent over $5,500 getting her running one summer (including the purchase price). Sold it to Enrique for $2,500. I was also offered a prime Roadster for around $6,000 (owner spent over $15,000) and I declined. That was a mistake!! Anyway, get a good one and you'll love it. You don't want to drive a project around all summer... just get one that works good!!

  4. Thinking about club shirts this year. Need an idea of how many different sizes we'll need to buy. I've heard many different ideas about purchasing shirt sizes, but, I'd like to get a better idea through a poll. What do you think?

  6. I'd like to see the original list of modifications and options. Can you go ahead and cut-paste them into a message?

  8. Is a stock valance ok? Les at classicdatsun.com might be able to outfit you with one of those and a BRE front spoiler. Not sure how much that kind of thing will cost, but, it might be worth it.

    Time fixed now?
  13. Heyya!! Yea, I'm in Albany (cough)... a little white-trash town just south of Salem. There are about 4-5 other classic Z members in Salem/Portland/Vancouver area.... there are even more "all Z" members in that area as well. Just wait, I'm sure a few will chime in. Escanlon? Beandip? you guys awake? -- M
  14. Actually, I meant to never drive it in the rain ever again.. Why? I spent $6,500 on paint, bodywork, etc... This baby only comes out when it's sunny. :cheeky:
  15. Geeze Victor, I am sad and happy all in one. I never really saw this post until tonight! Sorry you had to go through the experience, but, I'm glad that your story turned out OK. Count your blessings. Your car had a few minor things to repair and that's good!! She could have turned out smashed into a tree. I wish these idiot car thieves (looooosers) would stick to stealing Camry's, Honda's, and your standard boring car. They don't deserve to even DRIVE a car loved that much by someone. Did I mention they are losers and will never have the opportunity to experience the joy of owning a car such as yours? Ok, good.... If you need anything, please let me know.... -- Mike
  16. I had this same problem. I spent a lot of money on new U-joints (all 6 replaced). The clunk was reduced. But, it wasn't until I replaced the diff mount and the moustache bar bushings that it went completely away. I even had the diff checked out. Point? Replace the mounts and bushings before you assume it's the diff itself.

I offered to help with their site but haven't heard back. If they need help with a portal system, all they need to do is ask! I've been working with them for quite awhile. -- Mike :cheeky:
  18. You can also buy a carbon fiber replacement hood ! I think Classic Datsun is still selling them.
  19. Not a bad deal considering this is an early model 240z.
  20. Cool... The search feature (in the link module) is also pretty good. But, I haven't tried it much. Might want to try and search the forums as well. Maybe it was a forum message.
  21. Carl, did you check our links area?
  22. Unless it was a big computer malfunction, it is not likely this guy got the decimal point in the wrong spot. Even considering that possibility, he would have seen the value written in big-bold letters and numbers across the report. The value is spelled out as well as shown in a dollar figure. Oh well.. Just look at the location.. CALIFORNIA! Nothing but a bunch of crooked people in that damn state. Derrek, we are all a bunch of Z fanatics from the US, Europe, Asia, Australia, and all other parts of the world. We KNOW the Classic Zcar. Point of all these replies? You should consider getting another appraisal. Sorry if our tact wasn't the greatest... right guys?!
  23. If they are on Linux, we could host their site... There is plenty of room on our machine. Someone want to pass the info?
  24. Alan, I like your idea! What if you were to post a poll asking about the kind of 240's people own (including all countries). We have about 111 240z's in this poll, so far. Give this poll another week and go ahead and post the poll. You'd be the most qualified to do the list. What do you think? -- Mike
