  1. Uhhh...... Nope. It's a horrible deal! You're getting ripped off! What's his number? Nate:D
  2. Ummmmm...
  3. Yes I have heard this before... read from crank was advertised first then... they started reading from the rear wheels that would make sense. Nate
  4. Just shooting in the dark,as I don't know anything about the other markets for Z's BUT... how about they never came with a 2 liter? Nate

97 600cc Ninja here! Hey Dave is that 1100 or 1200 ZRX? I had a chance to pick up a 99 1100 from a friend for 4500 and waited too long and another guy we work with took it home, DANG! I love the Retro look. Hmmmmm, you see I also am not a fan of Harleys but, to say there is no tech in a harley is not quite right anymore. You see I recently spent a couple days on an '02 Dyna Wideglide. This is the best harley has as far as handling and at 1450cc Theres a lot of low end to it. Not a bad bike. Computer controlled carbs, (like my old 86 sentra), The bike is just as advanced as any of the shadows or meanstreaks out there. Ever hear a harley out of the showroom with stock pipes, actually pretty quite. I don't like cruisers though, and at $19,800 i won't be trying to buy a Wideglide anyways. As far as holding their value... It's only worth what you actually sell it for. pick up the Saturday paper or Cycle trader...the market is flooded with em. And everybody wants top dollar...And for that kinda money most want a new one for a grand more. The best deal is buying a used sportbike from a kid who got scared! You get em dirt cheap! But let me clarify I AM NOT A HARLEY FAN. I understand the people, at least the ones who still wave at you if your on 2 wheels, not just a harley. 6. Hello to all the members in Virginia! I will be in the Yorktown area of VA from the evening of Sunday the 17 to friday the 22nd. If anyone is in the nearby vicinity, or on my route between there and Buffalo and would like to meet up for dinner or a beer let me know! Nate email me svtranger@earthlink.net
  7. Yeah, I just wanted to bring up the fact that a lot of motorcycles are starting to come with cats...I'm a huge Kawasaki fan (ninja owner) And Kawasakis is called the Kleen Emissions System. Oh, and I know a guy that had a 57' belair wagon (not a nomad) with 4 two barrels on it. Hell of a time keepin' them synced up. More of a novelty and was replaced by two edelbrock 600's. Nate
  8. Alright, I need some help clearing this up. Everything I've ever seen on the output of the z's always shows the 240's at 150hp and the 260 and 280's dropping more untill the arrival of the turbo zx's. Is this true? I now doubt this due to a recent post that shows multiple VIN tags that show a 260 at 162 and a 280 at 170hp. What's the deal? Can someone set me straight. thanks Nate
  9. Forgive me fellas...I'm not accustom to all the datsuns down there in OZ. What are 240c's and k's. Nate
  10. Okay. Alan, is it a Skyline...2000gtx? It's a 2liter. right? It;s got a slightly shorter wheelbase than a Z. and what the hell is 160ps? Is horsepower not a universal measurement? Nate
  11. wow stainless...heavy! can anyone say Delorean? Factory Five racing makes a great shelby that you just bolt fox body (up to 93) mustang parts. Makes it easier to get mechanical parts. Also uses all the original style exterior pieces the original used (from the U.K.--A.C. parts) The ferrari kit doesn't look bad on the Z, but it's a dead give away... the ferrari had a trunk not a hatch. Nate
  12. Hey Sled, Have absolutely no idea!:cross-eye This looked a little important so I'm posting just to keep it bumped up on the list so hopefully someone can help. Good Luck. Keep us posted. Nate
  13. Hey HALZ is that an old Norton in your picture on the left? Nate
  14. So this is pretty cool! Never expected this to get the attention it did! Especially from all over the globe. To clarify a few things...I don't hate these idiots, they just bother the wizz outta me. The way I look at it, my part time job is to help Joe Blow get the family truckster running so the kids make it to Soccer practice and he can get to work. The truth of the matter is most of these clowns don't like old Z's. I've talked to them plenty of times and often you get "when my VTEC kicks in I'll smoke your old Carbuerated piece of $#!t." Of course If you took a Z put a huge tailpipe or two on it, Some glue of Ground effects, neon kit and type R (ugh!) badges you just might be cool enough. On the white goods comment, thats about the funniest thing I've heard in a while! But watch out my wifes car is a 95 Acura Integra...Which with her at the helm smoked down an 01 Civic with 17" rims and fart Cannon out the back. The guy commenced to saying she was running nitrous, But couldn't fathom 1.8 with 150hp and less weght could beat his "awesome" 1.6 126hp shopping cart. Age: I just recently turned 23. For the most part I am the same age as these clowns. They make me look bad, and they could use a haircut. When I was 16 I built an '84 Monte Carlo SS with a 300hp 350, TH350 tranny, and a 3.73 posi. I knew more about carbs and cams then than the fellas know about anything. So any way, that's my piece. Not looking to offend anyone just needed to vent that evening...But the post is becoming quite interesting! Nate
  15. Holy Cow! This was great, I can't believe but I had missed the best part. Al...pompous...no, I mean I know he's british and all, but pompous? Yes we did win the war, outnumbered and all, but we did kinda cheat. Didn't exactly use all the traditional style fighting styles, which sucked anyway! Who stands there and waits to see if they get shot? Ouch, IRA. Touches a soft spot, doesn't it. If one wants to know why the IRA has had such a strong presence in modern history(oxymoron?) check this out, especially if you the slightest bit o' Irish blood in ya. www.larkspirit.com/bloodysunday There also happens to be a U2 song on it also. Al, I stand beside. Can't stand behind you cause this is the internet and unfortunately there is 90% garbage out there and there is little we can do about it. All he had to do is state at the top of the page that His information was based on his U.S. findings ...AFTERALL... Regardless of where the majority of the cars lie, the fact is the love of our lives was born in Japan. this has been an announcement by NPR and is funded by listeners like you. What do ya think? About $.25 worth? Whats 2 cents in yen anyways? Nate
  16. Probably doesn't help any but when I was at the last Northeast Z adventure, You were there right Tom?, There was a 77 280 with 14,000 orginal miles on it and the seals were still like new. The Hatch would not close without one of the doors open or a window down. They seem to be pretty tight when they were (are?) new. Just more useless ramblings from me, as i don't even own one yet.:stupid: Nate

Alright!!!!!!!!! I'm getting tired of all these kids calling themselves tuners! What the heck is a tuner anyway!!!!!! "Yeah man, I put a wing on my corsica and it's got 300hp man" SHUT UP SHUT UP I Cant' take IT!!!!! You see i work part time in a parts store and I have to deal with these mommas boys every day. Which guy knows about cars... A. Blue jeans and a T-shirt dirty hands and asking for a meter and jet kit for his 600cfm Edelbrock... .....or..... B. Hat on side ways, not even backwards but sideways, pants falling down Yellow FUBU shirt and a gallon of cologne, asking for a muffler with a 8 inch tip that will add a 100 hp!!!!!!!1 AHHHHHH , hey man can i get some high performance wires for my del sol, man. Tuners, ricers hell, I called this guy with a Golf today a ricer and he corrected me and said he was a Deutscher!!!! WTF!!!!! I CANT TAKE ANYMORE... I actually think this is going to cause me to quit. The whole problem is the 2nd job is going to be my savings for my Z!!! Thanks for letting me vent Nate ...I've developed a twitch...
  19. Hey C., We gotta talk. Everytime I see your name in a post I spend like 5 minutes trying to figure out how to pronounce it?!? Can you post a phonetic version so I know for sure?:stupid: The real reason I'm responding... Are there any other mods that, you could see, would be required for the left hand drives? This is a topic that is starting to interest me, the RB26 that is. I would never do it to a 240, but maybe a 280... thanks Nate
  20. 400hp and 300ftlb vs. 400hp 500ftlb someones gonna lose and it ain't #2. Horsepower sells... Torque moves. No replacement for displacement. Personally I would never drop a V8 in a Z, not my style...but at the same time you'll never catch me tryin' to race a V8 with a straight 6 either. And on the same token I haven't lost on my 600 Ninja yet, but if that should ever happen I can pick up a late model used ZX-12 for under 10k. Let's Race :devious: N A T E
  21. Whoa, whoa, whoa. A. The kid wants to go "fast" for 8 grand. B. He wants to outrun the Nsync fag in the civic with the cold air intake and the fart cannon muffler. He's already ahead by having a light car with a real motor and real potential. C. I don't care what kind of motor you have 800-900hp is not reliable. "Reliable"- Gas, oil, drive...capable of 100,000 miles with minimal maintainance. I've seen 350hp Hondas last about 20000 tops before valves and rings take a dump. alright Skater8, These guys know more about the Z than i do but... L28, tripple carbs, aggressive cam, header, hi output ignition to keep up, the rest of its gearing. Keep the shiney side up! Nate
  22. I'm clueless on the Slopars. I'd find a charger or Mopar forum site. Surely someone there will know. Nate
  23. <------ Has also been to Hell and back. It's in Michigan. Outside of Ann Arbour (10 miles or so NW of). When I left town limits I ran it up to 100 just so I could saw I was flying like a bat out of Hell. N a t e .
  24. My Dad lives in Salem, Alabama...right next door to Pigsnuckle. Big Al, I'm in complete agreeance with you on the informed posting of information. But, unfortunately here in this tossed salad of a country we lovingly call America we're not always privey to the full gauntlet of information held elsewhere. And Nissan has always been a bit of a mystery over here (at least in the areas of the East coast I've lived in). She's kinda the red-headed step child of the Japanese cars everywhere I've been. Good example... I worked at a Nissan dealer in Charleston, SC and was also in the process of rebuilding a '72 1/2 Datsun 620 pick-up (R.I.P.). I walked in the Parts department and asked to see the NISMO catalog, the Parts manager look at me and said "Nis-what". So I then I asked about any performance parts for the 1600 motor. Which he replys, "Nissan doesn't make any performance parts." So I left before I got in argument. Anyway, just backing up the Texan (k-mack) on our difficulties here in the States. Love all your info Alan. Every time you put a little bit of fact in a reply I do a little cut and paste to a word document. Nate
  25. twice baked potatos? twice painted hot rods? I've talked to guys that own old school street rods, '49 mercury's and such, that use a black primer and high polished chrome paint scheme and most have said that they paint the car in black or dark blue first and then paint it in primer. Weird yes, but they say it stops the rust factor. nate
