  1. I can't make it Sunday but i'll be there Saturday morning hopefully by 10:00. It's a short hall from Buffalo, but i'll be there with the camera loaded! Hope to see ya there!
  2. Interesting point. I think that it would be impossible for a 350z owner not to appreciate the 240z. Being that the 350 isn't exactly cheap nor easy to get, it kinda rules out the "aw, thats a cute car" crowd. Plus, have you been in a Nissan dealer showroom lately? Every one that i've been in always has at least one major picture of a certain yellow 240 with chrome wires. what do ya'll think? Who's going to the Northeast Z Adventure? We all need a Z to lean on.
  3. Alright ya'll! Who's going??? I don't even have a Z and i'm going! maybe I'll come home with one! No, seriously. If anyone's going email me. I probably won't make it till Saturday night, but i'll make it! svtranger@earthlink.net Z ya!
  4. Pretty Scary, but my fiancee' looks a lot meaner than she does! OH!!! You mean the dog! J/K!!!!
  5. Hey fellas...I just finished my 10th message(this is 11). I'm now a bonafide "Active Member". Yaaaa for me!
  6. Hello everybody! Check this out. August 4 is also the 212th Birthday for the United States Coast Guard. That's right 212 years of guarding our boarders and saving lives. So if anybody has any pull at this event, a little remembrance for the Coast Guard and other Armed Sevices is always appreciated. Hoo Rah! Heres a little History for ya'll http://www.uscg.mil/hq/g-cp/history/collect.html Now if you didn't know there happens to be a lot of Coast Guard in the Bay Area. One of the Boot Camp locations used to be Alameda Island in S.F., this base is still highly active but no longer serves in the Basic Training role. There are many cutters and small boats stationed there. Also, In Petaluma (less than an hour North) is a large training center where they teach many of us Coasties how to do our jobs ie: Electronics Tech. Thanks for listening!
  7. Does anybody else find this disturbing?:paranoid:

Howdy Ya'll! Looking around last night I found a Datsun T-shirt @ www.zcarparts.com. $14.95...looked pretty cool. Which brings me to my question. Does anyone know of any places to get datsun, Z, or 510 shirts at? How cool automotive shirts in general(ie: Weber, Mikuni, BRE)? And how about that cool graphic at the site homepage? Has anyone thought about a shirt from that? I'm already in line for two, how much? Thanks again, The question man
  9. Much thanks is being sent out to that car guy in Oklahoma! That helps alot. Does anybody else have any other info on how to physically tell the z's apart... such as bumpers changes to body panels, size/shape of window or lights. Thanks again!
  10. Okay so I'm an infrequent member. I'm here at least twice a day, but I am just starting to post and reply. I think i'm to around 5 or so. At what level am I no longer infrequent? I think i saw someone with well over 900! How do you pull that off?:surprised Just Curious!
  11. Ahhh so here it is. A question i hope some can answer with more than "look at the emblems". How do you tell the 240 260 and 280's apart. Does anybody have or know where to find a break down for all the years. One that tells what changed (options and trim) each year. I see that there are 2 models in 71, early and late. What's the difference? Why is it that people like to replace the 2.4 for the 2.8? Is it the old no replacement for displacement, or did the 2.4 have some shortcomings, ie: hard to get parts, cooling problems, oiling problems. Just questions. Hard to get answers on the east coast especially up here in Buffalo where if you don't drive american you must be a communist.:tapemouth
  12. Hello all, My name is Nathan (Nate). I'm 22 and an Electronics Technician in the U. S. Coast Guard.:pirate: www.uscg.mil Z's i own: ..............none............... Z's i want:.............yes, please............ I currently live in Orchard Park, NY, a town just outside of Buffalo. I do not like snow or cold weather:sick: being that I'm from Charleston, SC. The wicked twist to that is that I just got restationed here for yet another 4 years.:disappoin I'm getting married Oct. 5th:D Car's I've owned: 88 chevy Silverado 8' bed 305 traded for an 86 Toyota MR2 totaled (rolled 5 times):hurt:. 84 Monte Carlo SS couldve been a great car but it wasn't a real SS it was some dumb rednecks interpretation of how to make an SS from a LS and it took me a couple months to figure out and for the next 2 years i lived under the hood.:stupid: Learned alot about engine rebuilds:cross-eye. For one year i was the proud owner of an 86 Sentra w/120,000miles. Zero problems, ran like a top, Sold to a friend for what I paid for it And bought a 2000 Ford Ranger XLT V6...Because I couldn't justify $2000 more for a V6 Frontier:stupid: ...This is my last Domestic vehicle. I also now own a 97 Kawasaki Ninja 600.:devious: I did have a 72 1/2 Datsun 620 pickup that was given to me but when i got towed to the house and was able to inspect rust, missing pieces and what not, compared that to what it would cost and be worth in the end ...she got sent to the salvage yard. Well that's me. Lookin for a Z.
  13. I'd love a poster of somebody's. As of right now if i was to have one of mine it would be a 36" piece of blank paper. I'd think in the neighborhood of $10-$20 would be very reasonable for a poster of your own ride. I'm with Zvoiture on some of those pics, especially the third one down!
  14. Howdy! After reading all these posts and thinking "I can't be of help to anyone" untill I finnaly find my own 240, It looks like I'm wrong! Your Z wheels are most likely Z racing wheels. They can be found at your local Sears and are pretty affordable. I've never owned a set but have seen plenty around. Happy Hunting! :beard:
