MSA spook pictures
I am wondering if anybody has the BRE spook front air dam and if they are settled on the quality. The classic datsuns air dam is made from the original BRE mold has had accolades from numerous people, but I really prefer the solid lip. MSA sells this, but I would like to know the quality and see a few pictures of them installed. This week I am looking for body shops to paint my front parts. Soon I will be rocking the OEM goodness.

Mysterious part
When I was installing my new refurbished Z clock in my 71 240Z, I Noticed at the top left corner of the glove box was a little white push button. Mine was not connected to anything, but later found the wire that it goes to. I did not see where a light would fit, what is this little button for?

Front end 'spook' options..
HELP... My corner valances came in as well as my center ones, and A few of those nut plates on the corners. Looks like a clip with a nut welded to it. Well the have some bolts have rusted and been twisted off. I need to find more of those nut plates that clip on so after I get these prepped sanded and painted, I can put new clips on. Also would like to find a place to buy the bolts that are factory spec to attach my valance pieces to the car.

Clock repair for Z's
In this day and age of the small business vanishing, I was more than happy to spend my money with Ron. And the quality speaks for itself. I will be installing it today hopefully

Clock repair for Z's
He charges varying amounts. Since I had an extra core laying around he charged me 100 bucks to do this. Which I think is astounding! I think without a core it may be 125 dollars, but I recommend talking to him. He is a very nice guy.

Clock repair for Z's
Perfect. There is no other way to describe what the work done by Ron Bradley at Zclocks.com looks like. Its seldom that you get better service than you expected these days. But Ron is a very noteworthy exception. My clock never worked and was looking a tad worn from sitting in my Z for 37 years. But Ron took it and completely redid it. The rear bezel looks to be brand new, and even has a smooth almost professional paint job on it. The plastic has been cleaned or replaced not sure, but my glass in that clock was never as clean as he made it. Every visible nut, washer, screw all appears to be brand new. The action is smooth and it feels very well put together. He even goes as far as to replace the wires with correct color wires with correct fittings on them. I am vastly impressed with his work and his professionalism. Behold the rebirth of my Z clock! There is no other word to describe it but perfect... Thanks Ron! Guys I highly recommend him to anybody with a Z clock!

Wire wheels are off and Mags are on
carguyinok, here are the pictures of the centercaps. Excuse how dirty they are, they will clean up well, I am sure, I lightly rubbed one and it made a nice clean chrome spot. I think some time with a polishing compound would make them shine. I have the screws that go with them as well.

Wire wheels are off and Mags are on
I can post some pictures of them. I have them in a big ziplock baggie. I have no idea of the condition, only that it has the snake on them and fit my slotted mags taking up floorspace in my garage.

Wire wheels are off and Mags are on
If they are shelby mags, I have some centercaps for it.

Front end 'spook' options..
YOu sir are a class act to go through that much trouble. But your right, I do not have the skills to fix that, and I would rather wait until I find a rust/crack free pair instead of paying somebody to fix that. THanks so much for your efforts, I thank you again.

Gauging interest in T-Shirts
I would buy one, but I prefer it to be a little less NASCAR'ish. Less SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY!!!!! And more reserved but sophisticated. I was almost ready to get some of my drawings silk screened.

spring question for rear of 71 Z
I was replacing my rear inner control arm bushings this past weekend. When I jacked up the car and dropped the control arms, the spring fell free from the perch and sat in the lower strut spring base (could move about a half inch up and down freely. I am not too worried about this condition, but I was wondering if the spring should sit on some rubber cushions or something. Is the upper mount rubber? I know the bottom is metal base to spring coil. Just curious. I checked the Black dragon site as they have a nice schematic of the rear suspension. I did not see anything for the springs to sit on. Just a curiosity.

Clunk elimination has begun, with pics
UPDATE: With the new inner rear control arm bushings, my faint clunk is still there. Which makes me think its still either in the diff or the tranny. I am running out of mounts to replace! haha Next up is the engine mounts. I am not sure they are actually bad, but I figure I may as well do a refresh of them while I am at it. I think I can knock them out quickly. I just hope I can jack up the engine far enough without unbolting everything.

Yet another pipe diameter Q
hmm, not sure, but I had a turbo style muffler with my 2.5" all the way back and my MSA header, and it was louder than my ANSA with a resonator at cruise. But at full open the ANSA just wails like an old Ferrari

1971 Datsun 240 Z near perfect - $19900 (san jose downtown)
I think that he is pricing it pretty optimistically, but not that much. If the inside is perfect, and the underside is perfect, then I could see him getting 15000 for this example if its all this clean. Although the gold paint does make me wonder where else shortcuts have been taken. AS the years roll on, the price of the 70-73 Z's will pick up. The 73's may be hampered by the carbs a little, but I see no reason why the 72 would not start picking up speed eventually.
