  5. [quote=Z CAR 77 No matter I'm gonna keep waving at anything with a Z on it's badge (including Z-28's). Why wave at a Camaro?

In Tucson, you really need to step up to the 75/140 weight oil.As for the speedo.Take the cable out and douche out the cable housing with brake cleaner then let it dry.Merles sells a speedo cable lubricant.
  8. I use 20/50 and a Wix filter.I wouldn't use a FRAM filter on Charles Mansons lawnmower.Here in Tucson,10/30 or 10/40 is too thin.
  9. Wait a day and ask them again. And however you phrase the question,DON'T phrase it so they can give you one word answers(ie:yes or no)

  18. Test the T-stat beforee installation.I've had 4 bad ones in a row from different sources.
  19. One thing i've done is use stainless studs & nuts to hold the housing to the head. Second is i've powdercoated every square milimeter of the housing and cover.Third-i've drilled a 1/4 inch hole in the T-stat body.I've done this on my Z,my 810 daily driver and my wifes 620. Cut the center out of an old T-stat and run that for a test.If nothing changes, your problem lies elsewhere.Odds are it's the radiator all other things being equal.
  20. They are a type of "Ansen Sprint" wheels. They were by far the most popular wheel to put on just about any Z,620 or 510 back in the day. I have a I have a set on my 810 and i'm looking for a set for my 620.
  21. Something is not operating as intended.Silly stuff first: Verify T-stat opening. What degree are you running? Verify dash guage accuracy Fan shroud in place? Is the fan clutch good AND correct? The wrong one will not lock up untill 212 degrees Radiator-clean and free flowing?Should be a three core if you have A/C and depending where you are in California. All pusher fans do is impede airflow.
  22. Here's another way:
  23. I know they aren't in your back yard.BUT,they are southwest cars. The money you'll spend going to retrieve the right car will save you three times that on body work.
