We bought an uncoated header for the 510 from Troy Ermish a while back. We added two O2 bungs so we can check the carbs separately and added a Vband fitting at the exhaust end. I sent it off to JetHot over Christmas and got it back this last week. It looks nice!

Recently, I was lucky enough to win the auction for these battery covers parts:
  3. So I worked on the car some more today. I made progress but it was still frustrating! I worked on the exhaust a little more. Added this mounting strap on the tire side of the muffler. I need to add a hanger strap near the differential but I will have to fab a bracket to do that. Worked on mounting fenders and adding bumpers to the fenders Installed the hood hinges Put in the headlights Then realized that you can't put the sugar scoops on with the headlights in place! 😞 The studs are blocked by the headlight frame I put the windshield cowl on four or five times. Had to adjust fenders multiple times and every time I took it on or off I chipped the paint somewhere new. Really irritating!! I have to take it off again, maybe tomorrow to adjust the passenger side fender. The inspection cover won't fit in the gap I have currently on the passenger side. I also can't find the hardware for the inspection lids. I know I have it and it's been plated but I can't find it. Really irritating. Luckily, I'm a packrat and had some other lids with the hardware but it will have to be plated. 2 forward , 1 back
  4. This is what the one I posted looks like. I didnt do it for authenticity as much as knowing what was finished. The applicator is nice, as you just shake it and dab it on like a marker.
  5. Hi Ian. Sorry, missed your post first time round. It looks very similar to the diff cooler kit fitted to some of the later UK & 'Euro' market cars (for expected Autobahn speeds I guess). I've got a couple of the same pumps as NOS parts and I believe they continued well on into Z31 period. Used on other models too. Factory Works rally cars used a similar pump in '73, hidden/safe in one of the tool compartments:
  6. Yeah that must be frustrating.. i didn't do that a single time with the restore from my 280zx... i drove home after the MOT (APK overhere) and drove very carefully.. i was afraid i hit the carport so i drove it more to one side.. the side the goldwing was standing... i put a dent in my 280 with the chrome bumpers of the cases on the goldwing! Pfff.. sigh.. 😀 You had to take out the headlights.. that was easy.. my 280zx .. i bought it with a 2nd windscreen in it.. it had a little crack in the window.. nothing bad.. repair it later after reinstall.. later i saw that it had split the window while in storage.. (2) then i bought one second hand, the girlfriend of my first painter broke it while cleaning her house but said later i have never seen a windscreen here (I can show you the date i brought it to them in my log! (3) then i installed a new one and a college from the painter just let it hit the cowl somewhere i had not seen it but when installed it splitted on any points in the left down corner! (4) !! So... my 280zx has it's 5th !! windscreen.. and.. if someone try's to brake it i'm losing it.. i probably get my hunting rifle out and.... you guessed it!! So don't be annoid/ frustrated.. it comes with the trade.. Oh.. and Please!! ...clean that valvecover.. it looks like a turd in that beautiful enginecompartment!!!!!
