excellent day today, cherry popped! the pig got a bath and 8 miles on the odometer. the suspension is very nice and tight, throttle response is good, but the brake prop valve needs a little tuning. going to do a few more miles tomorrow, get some fuel and then sunday plug in the tracking software for the a/f ratio meter. kind of hard to watch the meter and drive at the same time
  3. I'm sure you have put some miles on it by now but I wanted to add my experience from going from dirt bikes to street that almost cost me my right foot. Dirt bikes you run hard into the turn and use the rear brake. Street bikes are completely opposite of that to me, 80% front and 20% rear.
  4. NOTE he said "ultra fine glass bead" . I tried normal glass beads and stopped quickly as it was pitting the plastic. I was using about 110 # of air pressure also. I wound up sanding by hand carefully .... takes a while . Repaired the pitted area with filler. Herb
  5. Scoring? not sure what that means. Are they a light tan in color on the insulator? wet is not good, if that is the case I would think there is no combustion happening, if wet from fuel. If wet from oil, then you have a competently different issue, as in rings or valves. How about installing NEW plugs, drive it for a while, then take them out and post up a pic. While the plugs are out you could also do a compression check just to know the stats.

just went into town to fill the tank and did another 35 miles. this pig pulls hard and nice. a/f mix is in the mid to high 13's on a hard 2nd-3rd pull, cruises in the low 14's. seems to have a weak spot right off idle, (a/f mix 15-16) no bog, but just noticeable. needs a front end alignment and the exhaust piping tweaked a bit and welded. it sounds SWEET! no tire rub as of yet. i was a little worried about that. overall, im very happy

Ah, the fun part. I think I got .45 cents and a cough when I did mine!
  8. Packages! Did I say I liked deliveries? Granny's flaring tool back right, copper nickel lines in front right, 3 x 50' rolls of butyl sound mat in the white boxes and 1 package of V-Comp sound control in the tall box!
  9. I remember my time on the bikes as a great but dangerous time. Drive safe and always be one step ahead of the rest of the traffic, and gear up, NO shortcuts on the safety equipment. Iam third from the left.

Nice find & great job on the floors! Looking forward to your progress. I have that job coming up on a 71z. Love those adjustable jack stands & the 2 RC planes...
