  1. What gets me is the use of GD on television and that's one of the 10 commandments but arse or $^!# gets bleeped out? I guess being from the South that bothers me more than others?
  2. What about mounting the actuator in the bottom of the door or away from the window track and using a bellcrank to redirect the linear motion as needed.
  3. Here is the link to it on eBay. I live about about 60 miles from. http://m.ebay.com/itm/1974-Datsun-260z-air-conditioning-ac-unit-/302225059461?hash=item465e046e85%3Ag%3AsZAAAOSwB-1YnNsz&_trkparms=pageci%253Aed9697b7-56b8-11e7-b5fa-74dbd1805f6a%257Cparentrq%253Acc27fd1415c0aca4736cf030fff95d89%257Ciid%253A3 Sent from my SM-G930V using Classic Zcar Club mobile

God bless him and I hope his transition is tranquil.

That's pretty sweet! I saw this car at Pixar Studios for our car show this past Friday. It's pretty sweet, did not get to hear it drive. It's in the back, behind this picture of the Cosmo ;(
  6. Suggest running hoses from the vents on the lids to some containers so gas will go there if it overflows. Make sure it's not overflowing before the test drive. I run the vent hoses to a couple of empty plastic Shiracha bottles lodged under the master cylinder. I leave them there so I'll know if they ever overflow. The rubber tip of the needle valve needs to come to a sharp point or it might not seal. If it's rounded get a new one. While it's out maybe give a blast of carb cleaner out through the banjo bolt, in case there's gunk in there. Also If the float isn't sitting just right in the bowl, especially if the fuel level is set too high, or if the float is tilted up, it can stick against the side of the bowl causing overflow.
  7. We've been swamped with messages and calls. It's been difficult and gets confusing. I'm just trying to help my friend sell all of this because there's a lot of stuff. We want it to go to good homes and people that love Z's. And I hate to lose any old cars or parts. There's so little left anymore. Thanks Siteunseen for the luck we really need it.
  8. The newer needle valves cannot be set upside down. I learned working on that the hard way. Hold them the correct way as installed and blow through the inlet pushing up on the float until your breathe is stopped. Or set up a jar thats about the same circumference as the float bowls and make a mark on the glass. I'm using my phone now and can't provide pics, sorry. I will in the morning though. Google "setting floats 240z classiczcars.com" or "float bowl lids 240z classiczcars.com".
  9. z boy, if you do decide to install a vacuum canister you don't have to spend $65 for one, I use a camping propane canister. Make sure it's empty first, the safety valve is just a schrader valve like from the valve stem on a car tire, unscrew it and blow some air into the canister blow out any remaining propane gas then drill out the main valve and the safety valve hole to 5/16", slip in a couple of pieces of 5/16ths hard gas line and solder, braze, weld or even seam seal them in. If I remember right the brake booster requires less than 14lbs of vacuum to activate the diaphragm so not very much.
  10. You will say just open it and see what is in there. But I do not have tools to do that. I spent some hours looking at the LSD , And compared with the used differential in my hands. I found that they have different case, thickness is different each other. Normal two pinion LSD has thicker case than the other. You can see it from the pictures. If this is a NOS as the seller described and, fully functional like new , and if this is the real race option for GTR/ Z432-R, this four pinion R192 is the good finding. Kats
  11. You gut the insides because you cannot have two hydraulic proportioning valves in series. Creates problems with long pedal travgel. You could plumb the WilWood prop valve in place of the factory valve. Depends where the factory valve is located. Meant to say " Coupler " not a Tee. Sorry.
  12. Richard, I have one that I removed from the Z I'm working on right now, yours for the price of shipping. Send me your address in a PM and I'll get it in the mail to you. I'll do a little bench testing first to make sure working before I send it.
  13. Silly question, but it needs to be asked: Is there any chance that you plumbed the valve back into the system backwards?
  14. That sucks. I thought you had it beat. I wonder what is wrong inside. Probably the order of assembly. Another good reason for a simple piece of paper with instructions..... Good luck with finding a suitable replacement.
  15. First car meet of the season. Fantastic weather.
