  1. I did some more polishing on the valve cover over the weekend.
  2. Zed Head, I have ran an engineering company for 20 Years, never cheated a customer nor made them jump thru hoops. Since I do not belong to a zcar club, I have had a very hard time pricing this car. I take all of this as a learning process. It has to be a deal where both parties are happy with the outcome.. I appreciate your comments as well as everyone else's ( both good and bad).
  3. I really don't see any issue with the integrity or honesty of @tse4me with regard to this potential sale, unless he actually backed out of an "accepted offer". His original wording regarding the price was "Looking to get 8-9K for it". To me this is not a fixed price and could be interpreted as "8-9K OBO" until a firm offer is accepted. But that's just me.
  4. The printed copy that I have is same issue date as @26th-Z, 15AUG70 and has all pages but the binding has come apart so over the next few weeks I will create a higher res copy to upload for those who are interested. Here is a sample section: 1970_FSM_ER_Engine Removal_[15AUG70].pdf
  5. I think he made a wise decision...that is a $15K car in my opinion. I was waiting for the bidding war to begin once I saw the pics.
  6. Hi, In Japan,a very interesting book was issued for all the S30 fans recently. Mr.Uemura was an engineer of Nissan ,he did great job especially chassis and compornets layout , not only that, he also was a chief of the test crew of 240Z in the US and Canada Oct -Dec 1969. So many new fucts we see in the book!! I have to tell you soon. Kats
  7. So updates: It was still acting up, so last weekend I finally got around to upgrading the distributor. Wow the car runs better, most notably at low rpm and when cold. However it still decided to act up, yesterday i decided to finally put the other ECU in, i was hesitant because it was from an older car that had its battery hooked up backwards once, but when i ripped it out it turned out to be nissan remanufactured (who knows from when) I stuck it in and it works great, seems to run the engine differently than the original ECU which is odd, but its improvements rather than faults, i have plans to replace the alternator soon but will wait to see what the new ECU does first. As for the heater it seems to be its own issue thst just has bad timing, i kind of think its the temp sensor in the blower housing it sits in going. Turn signals I am unsure, its too rare to diagnose, and too inspecific, someone needs to stop feeding my car after midnight.
  8. been there, done that very nice!
  9. Finally got hold of a rear bumper without rubbers to go with my rubber free front bumper. Looks great! Big thanks to Jim (jfa.series1)for a great deal.
  10. Here is my second of only two timed runs at last year's Virginia City Hill Climb. We were saving the tires for a vintage race but still did pretty well. Beat all the Ferraris.
  11. I worked on polishing a valve cover today.
  12. About 10 years ago I bought a Spirit Garage stainless system and fitted it to my 240ZG. The exhaust manifold was a period Nissan 'Sports Option' item, and the Spirit Garage twin pipe system mated up with it perfectly well and fitted very nicely. Good quality, good fit, nice sound and good longevity. Only thing I did was paint it black as it was possibly a little too blingy for my taste. Recommended.

I did not know 4 cylinder L16A was considered and tested for the Z! I thought 4 cylinder idea was only for exterior design sturdy. Also S20 for LHD! L engine with Solex was L20A 160hp,not L24A. Very interesting! Kats
