ACC in Anniston Alabama makes the best. Goggle that, put in your car and you'll get their kit number. Then google that. Most places get theirs from ACC. They have an ebay store that's cheaper than buying straight from their business. Look for ACC when you buy. I think it's an acronym for Automotive Custom Carpet. I've been there. They have all the molds from way back. Good luck. If we tag @James@TheZStore he'll help resolve your issue with MSA.

Yep! I'm good. Still have Her Majesty and sister 27th. I got hit really hard during the 2007 - 2013 depression. Stopped working (spending money) on the cars and stopped participating in Z-Car events after the Nashville convention in 2010. Things are MUCH better now. Thanks for asking about me.
  3. Looking back over your thread, I would really recommend that you run through the inspection procedure in the factory FSM. You started out as just replacing a broken oil gutter, but now you're sinking money and time in to what looks like an abused transmission. I suggested the the chipped reverse idler was the result of an angry driver with a bad clutch but on second look somebody really had to pull hard to do that kind of damage. They didn't care. Looks more like they were banging gears and missed the 5-4 downshift, repeatedly. I stole a decent picture from duragg's thread showing new synchros and good dog teeth. You need to look at them straight on. Look for symmetry and sharp peaks. There are clearances you can measure to see if the synchros are worn. Described in the FSM. Also, from what I've seen, the broken gutter happens when people disassemble the transmission. Looks like somebody's already been in there. Still looks like a good time to pause and ask what you're really expecting. I get a queasy feeling looking at what you're seeing. What's the history on the transmission? You can see the end of the thread on that shaft. Follow it in and see which way it turns.
  4. Found one. I thought for a sec that you were going to get another cigar. The pic of the lobe with the "chip" in it. The next lobe over has an oiler hole.

PM sent. Thank you for bringing this to my attention @siteunseen
  6. Hi Bob, Im still have to make the last moulds for the small (single) fuel line insulators 1/4" & 5/16" and I want to check how all these fit on my Z. Cured the first batch today so I might have time tomorrow to fit them and take some photo's. I having a bit of trouble trying to figure out how many are needed on the differeny model 280Z's They changed the lines around the tank area in August 1976. Mine is a 77 so I know what needed for the 77. The parts manual is not very clear, so it will require some input from pre aug 76 owners. I made some quick sketches to give people an overview of what goes where and how many are required. Chas
  7. First the bad news: I've planned to get a lot of work done this week due to swiss labour day and so on, but of course i had to get a damn cold exactly during this time so i'm currently lying in my bed with fever and other uncool stuff... Now to the good news: I made a few phone calls around the country to different registration stations and Authorities and this led me back to the original car's documents which i - 50 bucks later - got an original copy from now. This will alow me to get the car registered when it's done. great - my car has documents
