Jay Leno garage featured 3 Japanese classics and asked which had appreciated the most in the last few years. I was somewhat surprised by the growth, but it's highly subjective and doesn't factor in rare models (I guess) probably based on Hagerty data which is very US centric and not globally aware of certain makes / models..

Jay Leno continues to display his lack of knowledge about the S30-series Z and Japanese cars in general. Another airing for the Katayama/Fairlady naming story thrown in for good measure. Utter nonsense.

And apparently an RB26DETT engine has a capacity of three litres. Tricky stuff this Metric business.

From an SNL comedy skit, covering the birth of our nation.  Washington rallies the troops by highlighting our freedom to choose our own systems of weights and measures--

Washington: "We are free men, and we shall be free to measure liquids in liters and milliliters.  But not all liquids - only soda, wine and alcohol."

Soldier: "Only those, sir?"

Washington: "Yes.  Because for milk and paint, we will use gallons, pints, and quarts, God willing!"

Soldier: "And how many liters are in a gallon, sir?"

Washington: " . . . Nobody knows."

Yes I was a bit upset the Matsuo San was not mentioned when asked who the designer was. And the 3ltr Rb26 was a good laugh.. perhaps he was confused between 2jz vs Rb26? But it's in the name of the motor!

Thoughts on what it will bring?

Who knows with 240z prices in the toilet, not as much as I sold it for😉

I find it interesting that currently five of the six live Datsun auctions on Bring A Trailer are "no reserve". Bit of a change from years past.

Very risky in this market, IMHO.
