Looks like a "71C" transmsission.  You can tell by the size of the tail opening.  Could be from a 240SX or a 300ZX or a later model truck.  It's not from an S30 though.

Seller claims the trans is a “Datsun shorty 5 speed” out of a 620. No explanation why they chose it. Also states a round hole was cut to allow for shift lever. Also you can see that an aftermarket fuse panel was added. Who knows what the wire harness looks like.

Why go to the effort??????

Seems like a bad choice.

72 body and block, everything else 71, Tokico springs, Illumina, R180 CLSD, 83 close ratio, 3.90 gears, Ztherapy SUs, BRE 15X7 Libre wheels and BRE front spoiler.

I've heard of those but never seen one.  Explains maybe why the transmission mount fits.  The typical 71C swap needs a modified mount.

You can see where they extended the original transmission cross member to move it forward a bit.
Google Datsun shorty 5 speed and there is s post out there shows 5 different 5 speeds
