Finally found the wrench I've been looking for!

Featured Replies

Sorry to tell you but that's an imperial wrench... you're going to need a metric equivalent...

:P

"Fukung" the brand name I loudly exclaim each time the wrench slips and bang my knuckles on something.

I have a set like that but I think they made the angle wrong. I never seem to have enough clearance to get the durn thing where I need it.

Over here in NL, they call them Bacho's. That is the name of the swedish company that made them.

Years ago, when someone first asked me to give him a bacho, I thought he was talking about the drink. I said; jeess man if the job is getting to you, do something else for a while and come back later. He just looked at me and said; stop smoking what ever it is. Its messing with your head.

In Australia they call them a shifting spanner or shifter for slang. Google it and you will find plenty. Its officially called an adjustable wrench.

I have a nissan wrench that came in an old Nissan potrol toolkit. Nice addition to my Datsun toolkit.

Ah yeah..chinese wrenches !

Down here we call them Crescent Wrenches, also a brand name.

I just found something new that I must have.  Sliding adjustable wrench. :)spin_prod_236401901??hei=64&wid=64&qlt=5

The québécois call them "Wescott's". Another brand.

The newfies call them "thumb wrenches"...

When I first heard "spanner wrench" I've thought that was it. They do move the setting so spanner makes sense to me.

World Wide Sports, " spanning the globe..." then the ski jump goes to hell.  Gruesome change from Looney Tunes to watching someone die every Saturday morning.
