Who's been MIA?

Featured Replies

I won't say I've been gone, but I have been pretty quiet for a while now. After 43 years of continuously owning at least one Z, I am officially out of the game. Last week, I sold my 280Z along with all my remaining parts. I came to the realization that I will likely never finish it no matter how many years I tell myself this is the year.

I plan to stick around and offer any help I can, but it just won't seem the same without a Z in the garage.

Please stay close. The forum needs the expertise, experience and trials and tribulations!!

This club has been a fun ride over the past few decades. We started around 1996 so this means we will be 30 years old this coming year.

@Jeff G 78 Yeah Jeff…..We’ll put up with you even though you no longer own a Z. I guess the old race car finally hit the bone yard. I guess with all the trophies you won, you’ll need a special room in your new home. HAPPY NEW YEAR to a special member!

Thanks Guy!

I sold the racecar to Steve Bonk several years ago, and then he sold it to someone in PA, I think. The new owner planned to make it a vintage racer. I don't know if it ever made it back on the track or not. Happy New Year to you too!

I started back in 1998 when I bought my blue '70 Z. Man, time flies!

Gentlemen, Keep Chiming in. I need to know who else has lost their mind devoting their life to these S30’s. It’s a passion and personally I love it!

It is a passion and a Disease! I first contracted "Z Fever" in 1980, when I bought my first 1973 240Z and restored it. I have since owned 4 240Z's, and for a short time I owned 3 of them at one time. Yes, Z Fever is incurable in my opinion.

My fever started when I was 4 yrs old in 1976 with the '72 240Z that my Dad had (it was a rebuild project at the time). I've loved these cars ever since.

My '71 240Z will always be "My" car, but in truth I've owned (4) 240's and one 280. Two of the 240's were Series I cars (70 & 71)!

Wow Carl, has it been that long?!! Yeah, I don't get down to Florida much.

That was a great time checking out the BRE Baja car and the rest of your Z collection.

I guess I've been pretty quiet, and should be a better admin. I joined back when the Internet Z Car Club @Carl Beck mailing list was giving way to forum based websites, and Mike started the CZC. The various Z models through the 300ZX were finding themselves forming separate discussions based on the old IZCC mailing list filters. The IZCC site still has some of the best Z data pulled together in one place, and should be placed in a vault so it never gets lost. 😉We should all be grateful that Carl got many of us together back in the 1990's, and gave us our first place to find friends of common interests. I'd like to thank @Mike for his consistent effort in creating, maintaining and updating this site for almost 30 years behind the scenes for free out of his own pocket, for the love of the Z. We're looking for sponsors.
