The Winter 2007 issue of Nissan Sport magazine (www.nissansportmag.com) releases officially January 1, 2007. We’ve packed the new issue with Z stories from every generation, with content heavy on the 240Z side. Here’s just some of what’s coming in the new issue….

-Cover & Letters: The first of many 240Zs lands on the cover of Nissan Sport. Four other cover contestant photos are used throughout the issue. 240Z owners come out in force, including this owner who found his Z at the North Pole and another who is a classiczcars.com regular.

-Shifting Gears: We look back on car designer’s Albrecht Goertz’s influence on the 240Z, showcase a 1970 Nissan that boasts over 700 horsepower, release details on how to get an exclusive sold out issue of Sport Z (and the great 240Z how-to article inside), and spill the beans on 350Z rumors, why Z32 owners are high-fiving, and Nissan designer Shiro Nakamura’s secret weapon.

-Behind the Wheel: This 240Z restoration one-year side project turned into a serious, near decade-long rebuild. (We needed a full spread to cover this amazing resto. This wasn’t an accurate-to-the-screw stock rebuild or a highly modified super car: it’s just a Z done right.) A Z1 Motorsports tuned 300ZX went from an NA automatic to a 5-speed twin turbo. And a Z31 turns into a machine … with the help of an ’88 SS parts car.

-Features: Our cover car this issue is a head turner of a 350Z (it goes as fast as it looks). Our auction guide tells you how to buy a classic Z, including current pricing on Zs from the iconic 240Z to the Z31. (You won’t believe what one 280ZX Anniversary Edition went for, and what Z brought over $25,000.) We also take readers into the crazy world of SEMA, including photographs of every 350Z at the show (and rumors of a new car show classic Z owners do not want to miss as well as word of a brand new affordable turbo kit for the 350Z).

-Motorsports: We have full coverage of the 2006 Runoffs, including some great photos, opinions on the new track, and interesting race details.

-Project Cars: Our Project 240Z gets new rims and builder Art Singer includes a full tire/wheel guide for 15” rims, and a sneak peek at new wheels coming out for the S30. As for our Project 350Z Tube Frame race car, it’s time for racer David Muramoto to make a choice on engines. We also look at big brake kits for the 350Z.

-DIY Tech: Our resident 280ZX expert Jeff Priddy gives readers the lowdown on adjusting the parking brake on the 280ZX. Other articles include an all-season tire review, how to properly seat your brake pads, a grounding wires test (do they work?), new parts for the 240Z and Z32, and a reader tip comes in handy for the Z31.

-Events, Clubs & Websites: Coverage of the Japanese Classic Car Festival (which is dominated by early Zs), the Midwest Z Fest, the Florida Z Fest, a British 350Z convention, and SEZ7. You’ll get updates from all of Nissan Sport’s partner Z clubs and websites (including a Z32 stunner and a 240Z that will surprise one member here). The issue rounds out with a look at a rare Nissan brochure from 1935.

Oops. Added. Thanks for reminding me. I almost forgot all about our motorsports section.

:classic: Looking forward to the new issue. Any idea how many pics you used? By the way the EP race is on next week I think on SpeedTV.

Shifting Gears: We look back on car designer’s Albrecht Goertz’s influence on the 240Z..........

One line would suffice, I think. No quantifiable or justifiable influence.

Noted that you wrote "240Z", when "S30-series Z" in this context would certainly be more accurate. Think family of models. Lead by example.
