http://translate.google.com/translate?u=www.geocities.jp%2Fps30diy&hl=en&ie=UTF8&sl=ja&tl=en Has some decent information, pictures, vehicle information on the Z432. Some documents contain pictures showing some of the subtle differences between the cars, depending on when they were made. Some of the registry data is slightly outdated, but it's a pretty decent effort overall, I feel.

Posted by Our Friend Kats in a different thread, but I think a find like this deserves it's own tread. I dont think its too bad to restore. Looks straight, apart from the roof, and maybe some rust, but definatly reparable. Dont let this car die! Come on Mr Harigae restore the car.

A few years ago I came across the s30 design patents through a very rigorous (and crude) search through old nissan patents filed with the US. I remember saving the image on my old hard drive of a simple white and black "line art" Z. That hard drive is long gone, and I want to have those images again. I tried searching through google patents and the closest thing I came across was this patent for a hood that looks like it might fit a Z: Hood Patent Does anyone know the patent number for the s30 design patent by nissan?

I heard from my mechanic who has worked on Z's since their conception, and he was saying that of the 1972 240z's only 1500 were made with the white body and a red interior. Seeing how I am the owner of one I was wondering just how valid this statement is. It's due for a paint job and I was considering going silver to compliment the red interior, however if its one of only 1500 made, I may reconsider and just repaint it the original 904 white. thanks all.

Does anyone know if Shin Yoshikawa is the artist who did the cut-away drawings of the 240Z at the time of the car's release? I have the dealer poster from 1969 and there is no artist's signature or other markings to indicate the artist. Thanks, Keith

The August 2009 issue of OCTANE Magazine ( already on sale here in the UK ) carries a very nicely photographed five page feature on Kevin Bristow's ex-Works 1971 Datsun 240Z rally car. This car debuted on the 1971 RAC Rally here in the UK, crewed by East African Safari Rally-winning team Edgar Herrmann and Hans Schuller. Kevin has recently completed a marathon restoration that he took to extraordinary levels, and the article - written by Paul Hardiman and photographed in a studio by John Colley - describes the "Incredible, sensitive restoration of a unique survivor". It's nice to see a genuine Works-built 240Z being featured in the pages of a mainstream - and fairly s…
