  1. I just want to know if the addition of headers on my engine will render the car more noisy (I mean a lot ) or is it just a nice mellow tone??? Thanks!:tapemouth
  2. I know it looks for a hefty price for you guys in the US, Zs are more easy to find than here in Canada, especially one with no traces of rust! I<m not in a hurry to get rid of it, since winter is coming (yark, depressing season again!), but I<m just checking... As for Ebay, I might not be able to get that price....
  3. Some other plans came in lately.... Like the car, but BTW, it's supposed to be US $$$ One guy in Stowe did ofer that sum of money. I should have take it then damn!!!!:stupid:
  4. 1972 Datsun 240Z with no AC. Orange exterior, white interior. Original 2.4L engine with 4-speed manual transmission, with original 98,700 miles and never raced. This is a very nice car (won the 3rd award at Stowe Car show this summer. I had the engine rebuilt 2 months ago: MSA front air dam (repainted and fixed this summer) New head port and polish Electronic distributor New sensor for the oil pressure and temp. Turbo oil pump Oils rings changed Studs on the exhaust manifold fixed (3 were broken) New radiator Connecting rods bearings changed The whole timing chain kit installed (brand new) Valves guides and seals changed New cam from a 260Z Recently tuned up by a reputable Z Car specialist who was a Datsun car mechanics for 25 years now Fuel filter, brakes, and original twin SU carburetor, not the ones found on later models that vapor lock. All cylinders compression tested to 190 psi, which means the engine is virtually in new condition. Starts right up. Interior is very clean with no tears on upholstery, a small crack in the dash. Tokico shocks Eibach springs Urethane bushings all around + the steering coupler Rear sway bar Falken Azenis tires (this summer) Body integrity is excellent , got the whole pedigree of the car since 1st owner, NO RUST WHATSOEVER Go see pictures on my gallery, PAGE 3, the car is orange. 11 500US$ car is in Montreal.

  13. Ok, I was driving the Z quite hard, and I took a sharp left turn (drifting in fact) and was running with a fuu tank of gas... As I excited the turn, I could smell a bad vapor of gas coming from behind.. I just freaked out...:dead: Well, stop on the side of the road, and saw a huge amout of gas that did came out of the fuel filler cap.. Have you guys experienced this before??? The rubber on the cap is ok (might be on the dry side to my thought), but the gas cap was perfectly tight yesterday.. What is wrong?? Any tips???

  15. OK. I'd like to know if the third lever (the last one close to the console) is supposed to send some warm air in the cabin when push to the far right??? problem is (in fact, don't know if it's a problem) when the lever is in that far position, I still have fresh (cold in the september morning in Montreal ) air comingout of the 2 rounded vents on either side of the dashboard.. Maybe there is a lever/cable broken behind the dash??? Help me please!

  17. Ok, I'll do it in english and french as well... One of my friend from Qc, Canada is working at the ATC (Nissan Arizona Test Center ) in Mesa, near Phoenix, and he's a mechanical engineer. I had to be in Phoenix last week for a business trip and I went to visit him friday!!!! What a nice day! We did a tour of all the facility testing they do have, an oval, braking test , skidpad , water test for 4*4 and so on! I did saw a lot of new cars from Nissan, the new Maxima, THE NEW BIG NISSAN PICK-UP THAT NISSAN WILL LAUNCH IN 2004-2005, THE NEW RE-DESIGNED NISSAN MINIVAN QUEST, the new G35 Coupe (lloks closely to a 350Z to my taste, some cars from Japan as well as their fleet of other cars for comparison (S2000, M3, X5, etc) We then took the keys of a brand new 350Z with the Trac package (Brembo disks, Stability control) and went for a ride!! Oh my Oh my!!!!! We did the high speed oval, and we did beat the car like hell, since it's a test mule!!! Grip is fantastic, brakes are amazing, and I was surprised at the level of confort for the amount of grip you got with the car!! The shape is growing on me for the 1st time, nad the interior is well appointed also. After taht, we took the keys of a right hand drive Skyline 2,5GT (RWD), with 280HP and a big turbo, and went for some drifting on the race track!!! Guy was a happy guy!!!!!!! What a day it was, plus the scenery in Arizona is gorgeous!!! FROM FEW FRENCH READERS HERE!!!
