OK, went to the rad shop this morning, the guy told me, nope, your rad is in pretty good decent shape for an old car. I think I'll go with the bigger thermostat since I do not need to change the rad. I'll see what it does.

WELL WEL WELL,, It's really hot in Montreal thes last days, and today, it was 40C (around 105) with the Humidex factor close to 120F... Ouf. Tonight, I went for a ride in the ZED and notice that the temp needle was falling in love with the other side of the temp gauge...close to the 250, maybe 210.. Put the heater on, no, it would'nt drop... My ZED is running on a high timing ( I mean more advanced and rich carb also). I have a 2 core rad, thermostat was checked and now, tomorrow, I'm going for a 3 core radiator since I'll be using the car to go on holiday far from Montreal.. Any other advice regarless of all the posts here? Thanks guys! :dead:

  5. Everywhere I stop, people ask question about the car, what year is the and start talking about the Z, that it was their first car, how it handles better than the US muscle cars, and how cheap it was on gas, how they were driving the car 100 miles /hour, and bla bla bla!!! I onw a piece of automotive history and I'M PROUD OF IT! LONG LIVE THE ZED!!!!:sleepy: HEY, IT,S MY LUCKY DAY, LOOK AT MY NUMBER OF POST!!!!! 240!!!!!
  6. What a difference... Oh boy oh boy.. I'm not driving the same ZED!!! It is so sticky....The car is glued to the road, it's so much fun!!!!!!! I did put 195/60/14. Et non, the price is super right. I paid 69$CND, installation, balancing and taxes included per tire, total 371$CND (you do the equivalent for the US$$$$!!!!). They even gave me 60$ for the old merde tires!!!! Guy is a happy GUY!!! :geek: :classic: :classic:
  7. Here I go... Out the PNEUS MERDIQUES that were on my car. here comes the new Falken Azenis... Can't wait to try them and exploit the suspension on my car!!!!! http://www.vulcantire.com/azenis_t.htm

Hey, come on, guys, everyone knows that the letter Z is pronounced ZED in FRENCH... Well, almost everyone!!!!
  11. Well, then, I better stick with tthe OEM engine anyway and fine tune it!!! Thanks. :dead:
  12. I can have an engine for 500$US (800$CND). Is it hard to do the swap??? I guesse all have to be rewired. Clutch needs to ba changed also. Can I keep the 4 speed tranny? Here is what the ad says: Complete mechanic from a 300z turbo 84, 100 000km (roughly 60 000miles, all the wires, ECU, Fuel injectors, etc. all changed by the dealer. Wat da ya think???
  13. For those who have not seen it yet, there you go. http://members.shaw.ca/DasGTP/Datsun%20240%20Z.WMV But I knw there was another with tthe same car, and he was running against a Kawa 900 at a light I think.. Anyone have this video also??? Merci!:classic: :beard:

  16. Well, be careful, don't drink and drive...your ZED.....and take care of yourself and the Z obviously!!!
  17. Reliable and valuable as rare also!!!:beard:
  18. Thanks 2manyZs. So it gives a better flow to the engine, so better response right??? I'M on my way to have the oil rings, valve seal and other internals redone in July. I'll give a try maybe!
  19. Go see the link: http://www.geocities.com/bern_on_yahoo/TheHead.html Does that fit on my engine (1972, 2,4) ?????

Je seconde Escanlon (I'm giving him my vote on that also!!!) What about the Z sing on the main page. Nice, clear, simple, says it all!!! Go Z Go Z!!! Allez le Z, ALLEZ LE Z!!!!
  21. C laid, yark, beurk, caca, nope, niet... Too far from the Original design. Check the new Mini at least...Nissan is wrong this time.. Shame on them. My opinion.

For myself, I'm not too kind putting the word INTERNET.... What about THE ZED CLUB??? Or THE Zee CLUB??? or Z Club? Keep it simple!
  23. Nous sommes 4 Ã date je crois, c cool!
  24. I'm in Tampa for 2 weeks for my job, no owner in there???? Just curious to see some nice ZEDS!!!
  25. I'm tired I think. Just left Montreal this pm and I'm in tampa right now for my job for 2 weeks. Well, I think I will stick with 195 50 15 since my ZED is lowered 1,5 inches. I don't think that any larger tires will do the job. I need 113,5mm for the offset, is that right?
