[2016] What Did You Do To/with Your Z Today?
Nice shot with perfect stageing. What a beautiful line up of Z cars! The A&W and your car are nearly a perfect color match in that photo! Very nice!

Just ordered some custom seat covers for the Z
I talked with Mike just 5 days ago and everything was fine. I ordered up a supply of original oil filters from him and had a good chat. Mike would be my first choice for seat foam. I think Jim S. (S30Driver) ordered his seat foams from Mike when he re-did his seats in Interior Innovations leather last winter. I second Mike W. regarding Chester and Herod carpet. Original purveyor's to Datsun, USA. Talk with Jim there at C&H. He is still there after all these years and remembers the whole thing of supplying the carpets when the 240Z first hit the market. Nice guy to talk with about the history. Mike at Banzai sells a reproduction recliner mechanism cover also Zeddy.

[2016] What Did You Do To/with Your Z Today?
AAWWWW Shucks guys S30Driver--Absolutely the best part of the day was spending it with you, showing our loved Z'z, yaking and talking with the appreciative folks at the Chicken Rod Nationals. Mike W--So wish you were here!--you would have loved it! I can hear your laughter now as you gazed at the "Rabbit" (which won "Most Rust" !) The show was not all lewdiculous--- here are a few others: Lastly, a photo of Zilver, which blew me away with the award of "Best Engine"! What a totally unexpected happening at what was, for the most part, an "American car" show! Great times in NWA shared with Jim2.

[2016] What Did You Do To/with Your Z Today?
Charles--- Had a notchiness in 1 to 2 shifts on my low mileage trans. Decided to try Royal Purple as that was all I could find as "upgrade" locally. No change. Changed to Redline after ordering it from online as it was the one that was supposedly much better. No change. Enter A/C Delco Friction Modified-----kaaaazzing-----we have a winner!! ~$32.00 for three quarts----some of the best "bang for the buck" money I've spent on the Z. Notchiness is gone --all shifts are much smoother. Spend the money on it and be done with it for years to come-----enjoy the benefit with every shift!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED AAAA++++ Miss ya! Jim D. "Zup"

Radio antenna grommet replacement
http://www.240zrubberparts.com/apps/webstore/products/show/6517164 Not sure this is the part you are after Stanley, but maybe it is. I've been after Steve before trying to get him to reproduce all of the rubber bits for the antenna----there are several. No luck so far, but maybe I'll try him again soon.

Hubcap restoration project {updated}
- Hubcap restoration project {updated}
Site--- Well at least you recognize the problem. I am still in denial regarding my addiction Terrapin-- Done deal. Thank you very much--PayPal on the way. .- Hubcap restoration project {updated}
Hey David, I am interested if Site doesn't go through with the sale. Just the caps--not the hubcaps. LMK how it transpires. Thanks! Jim D. "Zup"- Z Island Gold Coin
I have several of them that I received with items I purchased from seller "connatser" on E-bay. His offerings are always spot on and often real genuine NOS--no BS--part numbers almost always included. Connatser is one and the same as William Stokes aka "hls30.com" from this site. He was the first to coin (pardon the pun) the term "Zunobtanium" and was obviously instrumental in the production of this for the convention. Will does not post nearly as much as he did years ago. He has been into the Z car scene forever, is/was a Coastal Z Club official and is a certified judge at ZCCA conventions. The coin commemorates the 2011 ZCCA International Convention held in Savannah, GA. and is serial numbered. I have number 239, among others, and cherish them all. No, I do not think it is real gold but the color and heft would make one wonder! It is a very, very nice commemorative and exemplifies the best of what these conventions should be. I miss his posts as they were always informative and insightful. Here's hoping everything is well with you and yours Will if you read this! And thanks to you Hardway for bringing this up----I have thought that it was certainly worthy of a post of its own but am too forgetful at times.- Modifying a '70-71 choke knob to fit a '72
Order a new one from http://www.240zrubberparts.com/ Steve's reproductions are great!- Late 260Z Smog Pump adjusting arm
I think you guys are on the right track and you are not alone. In the Downloads section of this site under "S30 Manuals and Tuning Guides" there is this Technical Service Bulletin originally submitted by Jarvo2: Fuel-1973 240z 1974 260z fuel system modifications.pdf This is a comprehensive document that deals with many of the 73/74 flat top issues and gives a systematic, step by step approach to resolutions. It is not "big" on the why of the issues, but is pretty good on how to go about the modifications Nissan felt were necessary---it may be of some help to you. As the good Captain is aware, I too am smitten with a case of "boatanchoritis"---- currently hoarding 4 sets of said, as I attempt restoration to full functionality for my 73. Give it a read if you are not familiar with it.- RIP Z Doctor Roanoke Virginia
Saddened for all that knew him and knew of him. We are losing way too many of the "Knowers". It doesn't make it easier for those of us "Askers" that are left without answers. He's in Z heaven with John Coffey and they are building perfect Z'z.- Branson Z Fest 2016 - Who's Going

Since I am heading that way, would like to have me bring the "Badass Beer" that is languishing in my refrigerator?? Seems there are a few Bush's too. Might be time to rotate the stock.- For sale cheap
My condolences to his family and friends. E-mail sent.- 280z Interior Refresh
S30driver has added upholstery to his magnificent resume of skills! I've seen Jim's efforts up close and sat in the finished product and can vouch that the material, workmanship and quality of his install would satisfy the even the most discriminating of us. His switch install for the seat heaters is perfect---very professionally done! To answer @sweatybetty -- although the switches came with the heater set, if you didn't know better you would think it was factory fitted! If you guys are looking for real leather covers for your seats, I don't think you can do better than the Interior Innovations set. I can see some additional sales resulting from this thread. Following Hardway's lead, these are great photos and documentation Jim, thanks!- RIP John Coffey
Sorrow for the loss of another great contributor of knowledge and insight about the Z car we all love and share. For John, and all of us, "Life is a Journey. Enjoy the ride." Ride on, John. Ride on.- Need some advice on selling
I am rather late to the party, but want to express to you my hopes that your sale exceeds your expectations grannyknot. It certainly is a very nice car and hopefully will go to someone who both appreciates the quality of your efforts and is willing to back that up with $$$$$$.$$. Yes, to some it should have this, or it should have that, but it cannot be argued that (for anyone serious about a Z) it is a very high starting point for whatever may be done in the future. All the Best to you, sir! Jim D. "Zup"- '72 240Z Rebuild
Congratulations on the touchdown Cliff! Cliff 7 Gremlins 0 Now shed that crimson valve cover and she'll be real sweet!- [2016] What Did You Do To/with Your Z Today?
Believe me Jim S. is those two varmints best friend! He brings them treats and lavishes them with pets. As much as they wanted it--- no cake for Ms.Claire and Mr. Tavish. Thanks to Cliff, Charles, and Mark for the Birthday wishes and especially to S30driver-----such a great guy and best friend to me, as well as the varmints! Thanks again, Jim S., for coming to N. W. Arkansaw! Jim D. "Zup"- Hazard Knob Repair
I have a 73 and it seems to me that your shaft doesn't protrude far enough to allow the knob to engage. Can't believe I just wrote that!! Here's some photos to compare.- Water pump options and where to get
hr369, My take on water pumps (in order of desirability): Atsugi---not easy to find Pauraut--not easy to find---but very good--it's what I've used on 2 cars Aisin--plentiful and cheap with cast impeller GMB---plentiful and cheaper, but I found the bearings are not very good for longevity.- Water pump options and where to get
