Bluebird 5 Speed
Yes it's from a series 3 bluebird, not a 1600....... But yeah I think I'll just keep my eye out for a "proper" gearbox, chances are the ratios will be more suited to my car. Thing is I don't have a clue about all the different boxes available and all the ratios of them. If I did I would make a website to display it all as it can get very confusing...

Introduce yourself to the class?
I probably need ot update mine now!!! Now I don't have to imagine myself driving anything else, cos I drive my darling 240K "it's a skyline damnit!" The same engine as the Zed, except with a single carb, different head, with the car being about 300kg heavier and automatic..... not the fastest but totally immaculate and I guess more practical (I keep telling myself that). Sold my Zed a while ago and now I'm 18, yeah just over a year of ownership but the $$$ told me I couldn't have it. The passion is not dead though, just dormant...

Bluebird 5 Speed
Hi Well as you know my 240K is auto (:dead:) and I've been looking to swap it over but have to get my hands on a good box first (gearbox). I've had an offer from a guy with a Bluebird 5 Speed, from what I know it will fit onto the L24 engine, but does anyone know if it will be the right length etc. for the stick to poke out of the right bit inside my car? Or should I just keep waiting for a real 240K box :disappoin

production number for 1969
Your 260 should, as far as I know all Aussie Z cars definitely had VIN and Engine No. stamped on their little metal tag...

How obsessed are you?
Rick, auto? Well I never... I guess being an OLDY you can't handle GEARS anymore,,, come on ya sucker (I cant talk, I drive an auto too .....) I would really love to see that colour in real life, it looks like a beautiful paint job (read: expensive!) and the colour you have chosen is brilliant. (Still havent got that cropping thing down pat though have ya )

production number for 1969
Great data, we could only wish for more of the same for the rest of the years!!! (how many numbers can you handle!?) Those are some great pics Alan, I love the 2nd one, even if I dont know who most of those people are!!! It's the kind of picture I can imagine framed and hanging on my wall. Interesting lack of side badges and weird tyres! Which makes me think, have you got a shrine at your house Alan or just a really big hard drive?

I found #62150(something like that)?
Well thanks for the input Alan, I certainly wont take the data for 100% accurate, but it's all I've got to hold onto :sleepy:

Yeah, I undestand that the figures are probably not totally 100% correct, but unfortunately those figures are the only ones I've got so make do eh. They give you a good general feeling to the numbers at least, but yeah it would be nice to have Japan included...................

Exhaust Fumes For Those Who Put up with it.
Actually I dont get much fumes at all but hey....... Fumes DO get inside the boot though, open that up and PEEEEUUUUOOOOOWWWWWWW As for the rest of ya, the Z has given me more pleasure than the K sure, but it has also given me a hell of a lot more pain.

dual exhuast?
But I wonder how expensive it would be for a custom thing like that... hopefully not much since it is really just straight piping...
