now that looks like it's in great shape!! Looks good.. how much did you steal it for?

I am sickly obsessed with Drifting... I love the sport.. and I practice all the time, and I am finally able to drift every few turns or so on the track. I have seen 1 240Z which was a drifter.. it was flat black w/panasport rims and headlight covers.... but can s30 Z's be good drifters? The Weight ratio isn't too bad is it? With my Stock 280Z and Automatic tranny I can easily get the rear end to whip out using "power over" and "e-brake" and then controlling the rear with the throttle and steering and braking. I was thinking with a new suspension can Z's be good drifters? I am not sure, if I should baby my Z, or have some fun with this car? If not, than I may consider another car... a 240SX for drifting and my s30 Z for driving

More aggresive camshafts... 2.5" exhuast with a DynoMax muffler Port and Polish the Head Headers Bigger Throttle Body Fuel Pressure Regulator MSD ignition or Ignition from a 280Z. Stronger clutch That should get you somewhere near that range... somewhere Edit: wait i read 205HP.. for about 250HP? um... New pistons and valvesprings.

I should posted this picture when I posted this thread, but here is how I have it now... for some reason I just dont want to go through the effort to build a nice box, when it's just for looks.. my box sounds awsome... and don't worry I can still see out of the window Now I swiched sides.. so the subs are facing outside the back window for better sound clarity and I can feel more boom boom that I can hear. I put an orange blanket across the subs to prevent theft or detection of subs. Btw.. I hit 138.2 decibals with my setup

I would have to say that is a 1977 The U.S. spec climate control did not have an "OFF" where you can adjust if you want A/C or vent, or heat or defroster.

check your tire pressure? .. simple but big factor. BTW Dual exhuast.. is an Iffy with a straight 6 engine... kinda useless and there is no performance gain compared to single exhuast.

if you can beat a 350Z.... you can stand up to a Skyline GTR!

no no no FWD SR20DET's are not RaRe!! I own a Nissan Sentra, and the very very common swaps are SR20DET's .. FWD. You can easily find a SR20DET from Pulsar's, GTiR's, BlueBirds.. etc. You can get an: (FWD) GTiR SR20DET Avenir SR20DET BlueBird SR20DET much like the (RWD): BlackTop S13 SR20DET RedTop S13 SR20DET S14 SR20DET S15 SR20DET ------------------------------------------------ Pulsar: 170/119 hp (Neo VVL) S15 Silvia: 250/202 hp SR20VE: 187/144 hp (Neo VVL) But if you want an SR20DET... you are looking at a cheap alternative... The SR20VET slams out 278 bHP!! and it's RWD!!! The SR20VE engines and SR16VE engines are very hard to find... but the SR20VET engines... have as much power as the RB26DETT and with .6 liters less displacement.

now when you guys mean stock..... is that stock on the outside? What about a L28eT engine... with a 5-speed tranny swap, with new suspension and exhuast? Looks stock everywhere else except under the hood and the exhuast.

the car isnt that bad actually... doesnt look like it.. you can fix some things... shouldnt be too hard. The interior and engine seem to be great, and the paint looks good... what do you expect it's a 20 year old car

These are Infiniti G35 gas pedals available from StrictlyZ parts.. they are $70 for automatic and $90 for manual..... would they look good and possibly fit ok in my 280Z???

do you have to have a pre-muffler or resonator? I was thinking of boring out my stock manifold a bit, since it flows so nice.. and won't have such high under hood temperatures.... but I was going to run straight back with 2.5" exhuast straight to a muffler.. instead of a pre-muffler before hand.

20w-50???? ahhh! Unfortunatly.. with older engines with higher miles.... heavy oil is BADD for the engine... Thick oil such as 20W can actually BLOW the seals, on older high mileage engines and that wouldn't be a good thing. 10W is perfect for older Z's like our's.

RB26DETT engines need a RB25DET 5-speed transmission and a custom oil sump for the engine. The RB25DET will fit easier, but will still need a custom oil sump.
