  1. Well.. after I saw this picture I was like.. damn those looks nice on that car... so I thought about the rims on my 280Z.. but I know that the offset is different and it has 5 lugs rather than the 4 on my 280Z... Are there any conversion sets I can get or.. somehow put these rims on? NI54 1990-1996 16x8.5 5 lugs 4-1/2" BP NI42 1990-1995 16x7.5 5 lugs 4-1/2" BP
  2. I was watching MTV yesterday, and I noticed that on Snoop Dogg's show... "Snoop Doggy Fizzle Televizzle"... there was a skit where he was playing a PiMp naturally and he lived in the ghetto... and there was an 280ZX.. white in beautiful condition, but they ripped off the passenger door and rear window.. and put on black trash bags, to make it look like it was a sitting pile of junk, or going through restoration outside. made me sad
  3. an good alarm system? I got my alarm system... from Alpine and it was $260 with installation, exterior, hood, trunk, window sensors, starter kill... etc etc. So for $260 and only 5 hours of waiting.... it was worth it. boy i'm so repeatative sorry
  4. ususally thieves ditch cars within 1 to 2 miles from the original place they stole it. great to hear you got it back though!! get an alarm!
  5. when i had my headunit installed in my car professionally because the original owner did a shotty job on a CB radio install... i asked them if they could hook my antenna like that but they said it couldnt be done for a few reasons. I forgot what they were, but from what they said, it can't be done.
  6. oh yeh sorry, just leave the front speaker connections alone, and just connect the rear speakers up. It will sound much better, and you won't run the risk of overloading the speakers or anything. Maybe sometime in the future you can go out and buy some new speakers for the front.
  7. just put in new wiring... when I was installing my speakers last week, i realized how simple it is to just weave new speaker wire in and out of the metal. Took me about an hour to do, and it sounds great.
  8. damn... see after I have read so many of these posts, I went out and spend $260 bucks on an Alpine security system with starter disable and sensors on the hood, doors, windows, and trunk. Sorry to hear about your loss

  16. I was curious if for any reason, someone knew if the pedal kit from the G35's could fit the Z... I think that that foot rester is HUGE and looks great.... Infiniti G35 pedal kit from StrictlyZ Zparts..
  17. has anyone tried any other kits? I know when I just had my alarm system installed last week, they wanted $150 for their own "custom" kit and installation.. i thought VB was the place... guess not
  18. so the later F54 engines are the long block L28e's? and anything before is short block?
  19. Short Blocks... Long Blocks? Where is the difference in the short blocks and long blocks? and where are the short blocks found in, compared to the long blocks? I thought that all the L28e's are virtually the same except the heads?
  20. gotta love bad news.. really do I will be taking it into a brake place tomarrow to have the whole thing looked at and inspected. I did check all the wires and the floating thing on both the Master and the Slave cylinders. It is weird that it all disappeared, but I had no paint peeling, or any signs of leakage. However, when I looked at my passenger front fender well, I could see somethin was leaking, and the brake line looked like it was loosing pressure to the passnger front disc brake. Or it's something else. Z Babe... i'm so glad you joined the forum... gotta love it
  21. Well, in my '78 280Z... and everyone else's Z.. when you pull up the E-Brake, the brake light on the tachometer lights up correct? I thought that brake light was only for the E-Brake... however a few weeks ago I ran out of brake fluid and the light lit up, and would not turn off. I had my E-Brake down, and it was still lit, so i opened the hood and filled up the depleted brake fluid. Now a few weeks later, my brake light is back on, and I checked the E-Brake sensor, checked all the fluids and it's all fine, but the lgiht will not come off. But now my brakes are beginning to squeek and the light is on... why does the Brake light .. "light" up and what in the world could be wrong with it?
  22. you are full of such usefull info Z Babe..
