75-76 are the unicorns.- 1976 280Z Restoration Project
It was still wet when i left it last night. Probably needs a little more in places. I almost forgot I had the POR for the floor. It doesn't like to go on over anything else and I will be covering it up with dynamat and carpet so no point in spraying it body colour etc. The seat mounts might get a top coat, not sure yet.- 1976 280Z Restoration Project

He called us slow! (Canadian Army guy here)- Buying 1975 280z and have some questions!
Excellent work Captain! I will pass this on to my parts warehouser zkars. He will have a faceplate that I can swap my silkscreened lens onto! If he doesn't have it, they don't exist- Buying 1975 280z and have some questions!
Scary. I will search for a replacement panel I guess.- Wow not even half way there
I second that. Strip it first. Tent the car in poly in a garage if you can and recycle the blast media through a filter to save money and waste. I used copper slag (black grit) and it worked great. Don't blast any sheet metal like doors or roof etc. Leave that for sanding or chemical stripping. Then be prepared to blow grit out of the car from places you didn't know you had for months...- Wow not even half way there

Yikes!!! You might be right. It definitely looks like that and I checked it today... the PO has cut open the slots because it was mounted upside down! The label was affixed after obviously. Now I need to check with@zkars to see if he has a faceplate that has not been cut that will fit my 76! I wonder if anyone makes the labels still....?- Low miles, original paint 280z

No. 25,000 us or $33,300 Cdn. At the exchange price, Canadians are out of luck. Not so long ago our dollar was par or higher than the greenback. When you consider wages and inflation are basically the same in both countries, we took a 30% pay cut with our current dollar.... it hurts!- Low miles, original paint 280z
I'd pay up to $25,000 Cdn pesos.... after that, I'd rather build my own. This one is in very very good shape and should sell well. If the dollars were on par, I would say it should sell for around $25,000 US .... but in cdn pesos, that is way too much.- Buying 1975 280z and have some questions!

That is one pretty 76! Very nice- Buying 1975 280z and have some questions!
Interesting! My 76 says A/C on the slider but never had it from the factory! So does my friends 76...- Buying 1975 280z and have some questions!
Rust was not a factory option, it was standard feature... very very very hard to find a rust free Datsun anywhere. This is actually not a bad car to restore. It looks very complete and has been re-sprayed at least once. Bodywork will be hidden of course but @ksechler hit it on the head, you will find more rust for sure. Expect it. It is just not a good car to flip. Flipping would be best for a car you pick up for next to nothing in good to fair shape and sell immediately to someone looking to do a restoration for a reasonable profit. Selling this car to someone as a daily driver that has no mechanical skills, or is not prepared to become a Datsun expert, is not a good plan. Buy this one, store it, flip a bunch of domestic grocery getters and put that money into making this your dream car. These are getting hard to find in good shape and yours is a good candidate for a rebuild.- Anyone else spot this?
Them's some nice bolt-ons!- 280z RACK RE-BUILD
Please make more bushings.....- Buying 1975 280z and have some questions!
Check this post for more detail of the repair required for the area you have rusted out.
