  1. I am very fortunate to have benefitted from another's loss... A guy in Ontario had his paint prepped and stripped car stolen from the body shop... he hung onto all the parts for twenty years hoping it would surface. In the end he sold me his near perfect tank. It needs cleaning and sealing but otherwise 95% dent free. Best i could hope for. And yes, shipping from Ontario cost as much as the tank...!

  3. Very little actually. In fact, I would be doing you a favour by buying it off you right now for $5000....
  4. Good timing! The Dura Block sanding bars arrived today! Time to get dusty.... again.
  5. Maybe he was bidding in Canadian dollars...?
  6. Thanks! If you look carefully, you can see the ceiling fan in a couple pictures that pumps low volume flow through a filter from the roof. It gets fresh air from the side soffit. The large pan on floor creates a draw down area under the chassis and vents through a filter out the back of the garage.
  7. Some shots of the stuff I assembled etc.
  8. Here are some web shots of the stuff and how it looks after application
  9. Every red car I've owned has been hit by another car... I call it "impact red"....
  10. Eastwood internal frame coat... All the parts I built or welded up I coated with that stuff. Sprayed it into all the cavities I could. It's all in the thread if you have several hours to kill

many, many people.... My thread has a lot of info.
  12. Mine is the new Valspar DTM 2000 series. It is a hybrid mix and has less VOC's. Supposed to be easier to work with. First time for me so who knows. It did go down extremely well. Nice and flat, no issues except with the cheap gun I used for primer. Should have bought a better one but oh well. The body colour gun I bought is high end.
  13. It is a DTM 2K epoxy primer hybrid. Apparently it is the replacement product, supposedly better than regular epoxy primer. It does the same think basically but can be prepared for multiple uses. For example: in the four to one ratio it is a DTM; four to one to one with reducer it is a hi build product; four to one to two is a sealer coat.
  14. I took off the full face respirator and there was very little 'air' left in the shop! All fumes! Luckily I have a good ventilation system. Left the side door open an hour...!
