long champs
I was told that these are not long champs. They are speed stars. They look like some wheels one would see on a AE86.

Pictures say more than thousand Japanese words
I didn't look at the site that hard, but my pc does not have Japanese installed on it so I cannot translate the words. My Mac has it for some reason, so I just look at everything in Babblefish. Eeesh, 500 hundred for those eh. They are nice. Don't know how good it would look on my blue Z. Plus, if I want that Japanese look the first thing I would do is change rims. -Ben

model?
Sounds cool 240zdragon. 26th-Z, if you find a source for 432 model kits in 1/24 I would love to know as I am looking for one too. I saw one about a year ago. Now I kick myself for not getting it. Since then I have not seen one. Fujimi is the only company that I know of that makes the 432. Oh well. -Ben

Besides the Zcar, what are your favorite cars?
This is a pic of a Konigsegg CC s8 that you were talking about. I saw it at the start of the Gumball 3000 in San Francisco earlier this year.

Pictures say more than thousand Japanese words
I wonder if this stuff is for sale. It looks like ther is a compe handle and the Nissan light covers with the chrome trim. Jeeze, if they are for sale I am sure they are top dollar. I will have to find out with babblefish when I get on my mac next week. Nice find. -Ben

model?
Hey 240zdragon. When you are done with your model I would love to see pics of it. I am building a Fujimi Fairlady 240z. When I am done I will post some pics. Take care. As far as dicast goes kyosho is good for Z's. I know there is a green one that Ebbro offers but it is 1/43 scale and it has a black interior. Good luck finding it. As Zdragon said, build one. Revell makes a nice 240. Fujimi has a lot of different Z's to choose from, but the quality is not too good. -Ben

Besides the Zcar, what are your favorite cars?
Don't get me wrong, I love the Zcar. There is always going to be a place in my heart for them and I plan to buy another in the future, but I do have interests in other cars. I have been reading a lot of car mags Lately and it has sparked my interest about many cars. Not all of them are that similar either. I was just curious what cars you guys are interested in or own. Here are some of my fav classic and new cars just to name a few: I love the idea of a four wheeled motorcycle, so the Lotus( or Caterham) super 7 it is. The Jaguar XKE is the most popular of the Jags, but I fancy the Xk120. Hey I even sound like one. HehHEhehe. The Bentley's of the late 20's and early 30's were great. In my opinion the most sporting car of their day. Too bad they cost upwards of 200-400,000 USD. As far as the new goes I would someday like a Subaru WRX Sti. The Lan Evo is awsome too. Every now and then I get to drive my Moms Jetta VR6 when I am home. I am the one behind her getting it. She was thinking about a cabrio, but I intervened and suggested(begged) for the Jetta VR6. She loves the Jetta, as I do too. I could go on and on, but I wont. I am curious to hear what you Zcar enthusiasts would like to place next to your Z. List them off. -Ben :classic: P.S. I sound like I am 15, but I am 20 and I live away from home in college.

Is this still a "Z" site??
Before I was a old Z purest. Even more was the fact that I only was really interested in the Fairlady Z's. Now I have come to appreciate the home cars and the exports. (I sound like I am confessing or something..)The more interested I am in the first generation z cars the more I am interested in other Datsun cars of the day. I love the lines of the 510 even if they are not there. As far as this not being a Z site. I think it is 85% Zcar and 15% other stuff. Other stuff is not all Nissan/Datsun either. But as far as a forum goes this one is my favorite. The people are helpful and the cool thing is that we are all enthusiasts. If I were ever to own a non-Zcar by Nissan/Datsun I would like to own a Nissan Skyine(kpgc10). Yeah me and million other people on this forum. hehehhe. They are beautiful. Keep this non-Zcar forum going. If it wasn't for that I may have not learned about the skylines, 510's, etc.. -Ben

Modified 240Z pics
Nice car. Are the side mirrors that you have on your Zed the sebring style? I love the flares. What width wheels are you running front and back? Take care and don't do too many burn outs. -Ben

Nice brembo's. I have seen a few Z's witht these Porsche brakes. It looks good and no matter what the drivetrain or weather conditions, a zcar with these brakes will stop on a dime. Great car. Nice pic.

Painted bodyshell
I was just wondering if you were going to paint the hood black. Do all 432-r's have a black hood? Was the 432 and the 432-r availible with the same standard colors as the Fairlady Z and Fairlady 240z? Thanks a lot. Your car is going to be a beaut with those rally wheels. Hehehehe, you should have the extra two stacked on top of each other in the boot like a rally car. J/k. Take care. -Ben

Painted shell
Nice work Alan. Your car is definately going to be a beaut when it is done. May I ask what that Z is in the background. It looks like a ZG. Thanks.

Tomica 1973 rally winner
I just started collecting these little Tomica cars; only the Z's though. Tomica is to Japan what Matchbox is to the US.

Konig Rewinds
The suggested retail price is 115USD per wheel. I would love to see a picture of a Z with these wheels. They seem like they would fit perfect. They look great on an AE86. -Ben http://ggtyler.com/TechnoToyTuning/konigrewind2

sr20det at Zs by the Bay 2003
At least he is keeping it in the family. Anyways, I am sure it is still a pleasure to drive. Course with prolly between 250-350 horsepower who wouldn't be happy. Me personally, would stick with a well tuned L-series or to be insane I would put in a RB26DET. Take it easy. -Ben

Watanabe wheels for 260z
Thanks guys. I feel a little dumb because I am interested in purchasing a set of wheels in the near future, but all I know is that the pcd has to be 114.3 by 4. Here is a newbie question. To get that dish look, what width, diameter, offset, and backspacing should I look for? I do not want to flare or install spacers. Thanks again. Sorry, I know I have been bugging everyone about wats. :stupid: Here is a pic of the deep dish look that I am going for. I would like those wheels too. http://www.rs-watanabe.co.jp/images/users_photo/z_gin.jpg

Watanabe wheels for 260z
I know. I am looking at them and the more I look at them the more I don't like them. I would like that dish look too. Thanks for reafirming that.

Konig Rewinds
I believe they still make these wheels. I went to the konig website a while back and it seemed like they were easy to come by. Have you checked your local konig distributer? I really like those wheels too. They look more Japanese than the panasports. -Ben

Watanabe wheels for 260z
I have been looking for some natural finished Watanabe's for my 260z. I wanted 15 by 7j. How would these fit on my car? Would the tires stick out of the wheel wells? Do I have to get special lugnuts for them? If so, how hard are the lugs to find. Thank you. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=43955&item=2426679735 -Ben

What's your favorite part of the site?
This is a great forum. Before I joined I would always look at the pictures. I still do that even if I have looked at the pictures over and over. However, the forum is in my opinion the strongest point of this site because whenever I needed answers the other members were prompt and very helpful due to their vast knowledge about these cars we all share a passion for. Keep up the good work everyone. -Ben

thoughts on my new idea :)
Hey Ozzy, if you look in my gallery you will see a 240 with an SR20det. I don't know much about the engine, but I saw a 510 with 0ne of these motors and I think it was pumping about 310 hp at the flywheel with no internal mods. Just a acu, turbo, and exhaust. The only problem I have with the SR20det is that there is so much wasted room under the Z bonnet. Just get a 3.1 L-series with triple mikuni's. You could get 300hp easy with that engine and there would be little to none fabrication to make the engine fit. Good luck with your car. -Ben

nice g nose
The nose that was on this one looked to be a motorsport kit. If so this nose costs 750USD and that is without the light covers. The light covers are 400USD extra. I think this car looks good, but if I did it I would have painted the front bumper a very dark grey to simulate the urethane. -Ben

Zs by the Bay
I don't have much info about this car, but I was under the influence that it was a normal 510 with bluebird SSS tail lights. I guess it isn't too normal since it has an sr20det. nice car. I hope I helped. -Ben
